Tough coat is simple and easy to use regardless of beginner or well trained user, and works well on most base products and colours.
The likes of carpro reload and GTechniq C2 can sometimes last longer but ideally need a cleaner base to work on so not too much advantage of going to these.
Yes and I've seen 2months of proper protection on some panels. Lower doors and rear bumper 4 weeks maybe.
If you can stretch your budget and spend the time to do a little prep first time round, use Tripple as a base to set the finish, then top with a spray sealant for ease of use you will get...
Megs endurance is always popular but I personally don't like the finish.
I like GTechniq t1, Af satin. Carpro Perl can be used on plastic and tyres so is pretty versatile. Think Ant uses it in some of his details
IronX and Iron out are both pretty good, but iron out seems to be a bit thicker and doesn't run as quick as Ironx so it's more personal preference.
I like ironx for bodywork, iron out for wheels
A normal wax used on wheels will help, but not last quite as long as z dedicated high temperature wheel wax or sealant, but again none will last or help keep clean anyhing like proper glass / quartz wheel coatings like GTechniq C5 or Carpro DLUX. Expensive for the quantity you get, and prep has...
Both are as good as the other. Autosmart products seem to be a bit more industrial, and have seen reports of Tardis staining trim but that might have been user error.
500ml will last quite some time, as youll only ever use it when you strip off old waxes to re apply. And likely only on the...
True in one sense, when testing waxes I typically do a full half of the car with one, and the other side with a second. Problem with that is you can only really compare boot, roof and bonnet as they're side by side. Plus dependent on which roads you use, passenger side can get covered in...
hi guys. Simple question. Budget upto 100 for the wax
Best product for removing tar / cocontaminates autofinesse oblitarate or carpro tar-X, and ironX for iron contaminants
Best product for cleaning wheels seal them properly and you only need shampoo. If not then valet pro bilberry or...
It does everything average, but excells in durability.
You can't compare it to something like Glasur or shield for feel, application and removal, ease of use, finish, water behaviour.
There is nothing special feeling or particularly nice about HD wax. It performs its function fine but that's where it stops. That's not what the OP is looking for
Bringing out the big guns! Keep us updated
Gonna have to keep the conditions tight to give a true reflection of their performances. No QD wipe downs, or gloss enhancing wax adding shampoos etc
AF Lather
DDJ born to be mild
Hubicote Hubiwash
Gtechniq Gwash
Wolfs chemicals white satin
All natural shampoo's that I've tried that don't add any gloss enhancers or wax additives with good cleaning and dilution ratios.
If you want protection and water bebaviour to last and be durable, shield.
Glasur water bebaviour although brilliant won't last much more than 4 to 6 weeks without a good top up product, durability starts to fail at 3monhs on a daily when contaminants start to bond and not wash straight off
Something you might relate to Chip.
I do general servicing and works to my cars, and have general halfords / britool tools, But always like to go over to my dads and use his snap-on / Mac tools. For the jobs I'm doing they do nothing better, regardless of if they have a lifetime warranty or...
Boutique to me is an enjoyable product to use, I will always enjoy waxing a car, regardless of what it is, over using a better performing sealant. It's all down to the individual user at the end of the day, and what type of feeling wax that user enjoys the most. Some get it from Victoria...
apply all waxes as thin as possible. different waxes need to be left different periods to cure before buffing off. I've used all of them, and owned most. All their waxes are pretty decent in there price ranges. Let us know which one you get and we can better advise then.
for use and feel, glasur everytime. but for a hard wearing wax that really performs in all areas till it dies off completely spirit works well in excess of glasur.
as said unless the ryan can give a bit more detail on what he wants from a special wax there's just no way to really suggest...
Kyle 86 I still think you were doing something wrong to not get on with all the AF waxes. As Kev says, Glasur can be awkward if application is a little too long so I'm surprised you've not had trouble with that. AF Spirit is my general go to wax
without knowing what type of wax you want in more...
Clay mits are a huge time saver! but as Kev has said loads of lube and light pressure as they are increasingly more likely to cause damage than traditional clay.
Iron x removes iron fallout, Tardis will remove tar spots and organic fallout such as tree sap and aphid dew. If you use both of these when ypu strip back any protection before re waxes then on a well maintained car you can get away with a light clay once a year and hopefully it won't lift off...
If not going for quartz coating, but wanting a pretty durable sealant, I've been very impressed with sons, polymer net shield. Doesn't feel all that nice to apply, but is very quick and seems extremely durable and resistant
