Welcome to CS! Nice to see another Essex member!
Get some photos of the car up when you can! Enjoy the forum :)
Shh you or I'll go "No2" on yaw ass :rasp:;)
Don't worry I'm thinking about the next meet. Only reason I haven't made any plans yet is due to the Southend meet being so close...
Welcome to CS!
Get your F1's refurbed in black and get it lowered. I've always thought that black wheels suit that colour really well.
Enjoy the forum!
It's one of my favourite Clio's on here aswell. I'd say keep it as it is, not faggy, you're right it has a very clean look going on at the moment and it looks awesome!
Also (completely unrelated to my opinion) if you do sell it ...dibs ;)
Nope nobody seems to anymore rarely see any xr4x4's on the road anymore which is why it'd be nice to get it sorted. After seeing it in the garage yesterday we're considering the 24v as getting one of those recon'd is around the same price as getting a stage 3 sorted on the original engine...
Welcome to CS Jane :)
I'll echo the others when they say switch to some 15's/16's and then budget dependant get a set of coilovers or lowering springs.
Sign up as a club member and keep an eye on the local meets section. They'll be meets and the usual shows throughout the year :)
These cars only produced 147bhp standard and that has to run through a 4wd system too, am RS Clio would blow its doors off. But give it enough room and it'll pull well.
Plans are for stage 3 heads, cams and and slightly overbored cylinders. Matched with some new exhaust manifolds and a remap...
Another quick addition to the thread! (Sorry for it being so pic heavy!!)
We had to work out what needs doing to the rest of the front end, with work being planned to sort the entire front out, turn the car round in the garage and then concentrate on the rear end.
Firstly the out dated...
Tell me about it! Whenever I look at it I can't see past the rust but parts are alot cheaper compared to the clio and I know that once the rust and engine is sorted then the rest will come together.
Have considered it, we talked about the twin turbo conversion but first off we're going to get...
Here's my latest shared project with Ben_r1 which is meaning I have to cut down on chucking money at the clio if the plan is to ever get it finished! :(
A quick introduction - We got the car in mid September 2010 from Ben's dad who had owned it for 10 years. Unfortunately it sat far lower in...
Have just seen this whilst searching this years modball. Think it'd be a good laugh especially if we got a few clios on the rally too. Will definitely consider it :)
Lol at the halfords comments.
I've had mine for years now and as said in other threads the only problems I had were a few alignment issues are now fixed.
If it's something you want then go for it. Only thing i'd suggest is to get it properly fitted by a specialist for the best outcome. Oh and...
My suspension makes an odd clanging noise when I'm on full lock and also over some bumps.
I've put mine down to worn top mounts. It's lucky that I got some ktec solid ones for Xmas :)
Re: iPhone "must have" apps
I'm behind the times with this but just got the kindle app. Love reading so this means I can without having to stack up loads of books :)
Shame on me! Have been working non-stop recently and had completely forgotten about this.
Anyway, deposits have been sent over for myself and also Ben_r1 so Team 7 now fully paid. :)
Mine was epic, was going to take a pic in the morning and then the van wash guy came into my office about 2 mins ago and tells me my car was filthy so he washed it.
Took loads of effort not to wash it as well!
If you're going for the stripped out bucket seat look then I wouldn't just settle for any seats just because of their price.
You don't want to buy a set of seats for £120 then have to sort out the subframes and know if you'd have saved your money up for a little longer then you could've got a...
No you'd need cobra subframes. I got mine for £60 each from demontweeks.
As someone said you might be better off getting some Renault sport seats as they won't need other subframes.
I wouldn't get them if I were you as they don't look in very good shape and aren't the best colour ( it might be the photo that's made it look faded though).
Are they £120 with the subframes too?
If I were you I'd save up that little extra and get some cobra Monaco s buckets. I think they're...
