Heaven forbid anyone tries to personalise their car from the standard boring look your car looks like mine brigade. Is that all you have to worry about? It's all down to personal choice and taste, and it makes the gallery section more interesting to look at rather than lots of silver Clios with...
I've seen the sport badge stuck under the Clio badge which looked Ok as it was a sport Clio and not a Renault Sport if you know what I mean, i.e. the Dynamique came under the Clio sport range and NOT the Renault Sport.
In the end it's your car, your choice, your taste and it's nice to see...
Like I said in "Theory" but in the real world probably not and besides imo 17"s do look better than 15"s but we can sit and argue all day but in the end it comes down to personal taste and preference.... standing by for more "yeah but 15"s are better" lol if we all had the same taste the "Your...
In theory yes! for instance roll a five pence coin one revolution and measure how far it has travelled. Then take a ten pence coin and do the same, the ten pence coin will have travelled further than the five pence coin in one revolution. Two two cars same power different size wheels, one will...
A man after my own heart, get fed up of looking at standard sport Clios. Mines got a few tasteful changes (imo) 17" Black Pro race 1.2's. ST Orange painted brake calipers, V6 spoiler from a trophy (love ebay) and some black cased rear lights with clear cover. Will get round to posting some...
As much a pain in the rear as it is declare the Mods such as grills and wheels otherwise if anything happens they will only replace them with the standard model specs so the few hundred quid you paid for 182 wheels, RS grills Bumpers etc would be wasted. Shouldn't affect insurance that much...
I actually found the ride to be more comfortable with my 17" Pro Race 1.2's than the standard 16"s even over pot holes and yes the tyres that come with the 17"s are Cr@p but they'll do to pass the MOT in a couple of months before splashing out another £500 on quality tyres.
Seen a trophy a few times going around Cramlington woman driver dark hair. Also seen a red 197 parked behind Concordia and a Silver Phase 1 V6 along with a RB 182 with renault racing decals parked up a cpuple of times in the ASDA carpark. Anyone from here?
Go to the Renault garage, they're bound to have them. Everytime my Car went in it came out missing a bolt. Now have two different matching bolts in the front holes with Aln Key heads and take a photo on my phone everytime it goes in for a service. Sad state of affairs. Bought it brand new and it...
Used to get 38 on a motorway run and around 32 to 34 around town now only getting 32 on the motorway and i thought i had problems.... so is the Lambda sensor covered by warranty or do renault consider it a consumable?
Orange on Black is definately looking the way forward. I know the colours may be a little extreme for some but if our Clio's all looked the same ie standard it would be a very dull forum especially when it comes to the show us yours bit.....
Top Pic Looks Smart as F*** cheers for replies will have a tinker with leaving the 16V bit original/white
Where did you get the black paint from as haven't seen any black gold in Halfords?
Hi can someone post a pic of the above so i can have a play with some colour coding. Not in country at the minute so this will give me time to play and get used to various mixes. Or if any one is bored and fancies a bit of Photoshoppin' colours are:
Black Bullets with original writing
Black...
Neither Black all the way...... silver bog standard, Anthracite everyones doing it. Could try bright Green no that's just silly wrong wheels for start. Black.
I love my little car and yes IF I could afford it I would have a big nice posh M3 or similar and keep the Clio but I would still get the turbo conversion done just for the sheer fun of it's drive and responsiveness. Afterall its all about the Va Va Voom.
SO why buy a cup instead of the ff version apart from the obvious price difference after all its still a clio......... and not that much of a noticeable difference in 0-60 terms. Was it not for the pleasure of the drive and knowing you have something reasonably quick compared to other cars in...
had a similar problem on my 1.4 would go past 60mph and rubbish response. Felt like the car was rocking when idle, turned out to be the coil pack got mine replaced under warranty though.
Look no one buys a Clio Sport just for it's handling my old 1.4 Dynamique was just as good and cost £5000 less than my 182. It's the thrill and sheer pleasure of being able to leave all those w******s behind in the Vectras, Mondeos and 2.0DTI blumming stupidly heavy Audis behind quite easy as...
Already seen the viper and remap argument that was going on with people throwing their toys out of the pram over it. Will soon be changing the exhaust as its starting to rattle and make some strange noises every now and then particularly at low speed when going up the levels in multi storey...
^^^^^ completely what I wasn't expecting lots of straight forward info on the materials. Thanks for the information so probably looking for a cloth filter. Was expecting it to turn into a bun fight between Buy K&N or buy ITG or even forget the lot just buy a Maxogen......... Well £300 is still...
Done the induction kit before lots of noise drop in performce (ok it was a cheap one) so decided to go back to the standard box with a replacement filter. Question is which one is best and where's the cheapest place to get hold of it from. Tried e-bay and K&N filters seem to be going for about...
Anyone know how long the paint warranty is valid for? Car is a 05 plate. The lacque on my passenger wing is starting to blister around the headlight and along the top by the bonnet. Not caused by any road chips as it's just blistering and not popped. DOn't want it to go the same way as my metro...
Yeah reset the trip and the fuel used computer each time I fill up as travel most weekends from pompey to newcastle which is between 348 and 370 miles depending which route I take the best I managed was getting there on 9.5 gallons which is about right or so I thought (used to get there on 9...
Serv light has come on a couple of times when its being standing idling but put that down to the strong winds blowing back down the exhaust as once put foot on accelerator for some "thrust" it went out. Idles steady around the 1000 mark. I'll just get the garage to check it out next time it goes...
You must be thrashing the hell out of it, I used to get 35mpg when doing 85mph on the motorway before this snag and used to average between 34 and 37 around town.
My 05 182 with 54000 on the clock has gone from between 38 and 40 mpg at 70 down to a dismal 32 if I'm lucky..... that's also on the Shell V-Power any ideas, sugguestions?
