Someone like Google shouldn't be launching without an iOS app. Very poor from them.

I can understand if you're selling info on but for things like analytics, the whole point is that you can track stats. If you don't know how many people clicked 'No, don't track me' which most people will, it becomes completely pointless.

I don't see why sync software that's so rarely used and even then, not really needed, would sway your decision to buy a phone?

RIM had enterprise pretty much to themselves as they did email fairly well and more to the point, nobody else bothered.
They were marking smartphones long before the iPhone appeared, but they haven't really innovated. Just let things continue and hope for the best.
