So if it's likely to be engine management related, the best thing I can do is get it booked into Renault for a diagnostics test then isn't it really?

It won't be those that cause the problem, it'll be an error in the actual firmware file. Sync your contacts with Google - http://www.google.com/mobile/sync/ Then restore it. And manually put things back on. If it's just music/photos/contacts it's easy enough to do.

When you restored via iTunes. Did you put your back-up back on? Or did you start fresh?

Just went for a few a quick little drive with my Step-Dad. He doesn't think it's gearbox or clutch as it's engaging gear and it's not slipping. But it's running awful. Rolling in second, foot flat and it moves fine, slow back down and floor it again, no power. Chip, it's like a switch...
