Gave my 172 its first good clean of the year, inside and out, plus a quick coat of wax. Still needs a good detail as it's very swirly and has a lot of tar spots, and the engine bay is filthy. Also treated it to some new plates as the 9 and half year old original ones were still on there.

Would just the bushes in that mount being poor affect that it that much? And does it make sense that the coil pack plug is being dislodged through heavy acceleration?

When accelerating hard to the top of the rev range I can hear a repeating hitting noise, which my mate says is the cat hitting the heat shield. Solution: dogbone mount bushes, bought from K-tec, awaiting...

Firstly an iceberg 172 waiting to turn into Sainsbury's about 1:15 this afternoon. Followed by a LY R27 and an Albi blue 197 by Asda/Outlet about 1:20 and then a titanium ph1 172 by the next roundabout about the same time.
