It is very glossy tbh, and it looks better with layers. Perhaps the overcast weather didn't help the users perspective (and remember, LSP is generally only about 5% of looks anyway)

I think he means in place of a QD. If you have TC as your top layer (not wax) you can just top it up after a wash instead of using QD. I love TC, haven't used in ages either so might use it in my clio winter prep :)

FYI I decided to save the homebrew for the gf's new car in March. Did a 50/50 with desire and glasur instead. It was so nice to get glasur out again, I can't remember when the last time I used it was, it really is lovely stuff :)
