    looking to buy

Pointless spunking £10k on a new 1.2 or something, he's going to be bored of it within a year and then his original £10k will be £7k after depreciation. Spent £3k on a mint black 1.2 Dynamique, and stick the rest of the cash in an ISA/ Savings account. Sell the Dynamique after a year, if you...

Something brand new with free insurance?

How much is my clio worth?

The modifications don't really add any value, as a standard Dynamique I would market it between £2800-2995. Has the cambelt been done on it?

    First Car?

I also started off with a 1.0 Polo, then bought my 1.2 16v (rapid in comparison) and i ve now moved onto the Lupo Gti. Problem is comparing like for like say a 51 plate with 40k the diesel will be at least another grand on top of the 1.2 16v, bear in mind my 1.2 16v did 40mpg all day long its...

    First Car?

Just keep the Dynamique until you can afford a 172, they are excellent no-claims builders and a great car in their own right.

    Clio Camper???

LOL that is mint! I need it, I wouldn't have paid over £3k though! Would be tempted to hybrid it.

Gave the new car a clean today - Mk4 Golf GTi

Definatly a change from the ph1, the standard mk4 is a reasonably nice place to be and with the recaro leather I can imagine its a very stress free cruiser, I can understand your relaxed driving style -Must be good for the fuel consumption too! I will be interested to see how you get on with the...

Gave the new car a clean today - Mk4 Golf GTi

How are you finding the transition from Renault to VAG? I did a similarly thing 6 months ago albeit with the Lupo, first thing you notice is aren't the doors bloody heavy!

Gave the new car a clean today - Mk4 Golf GTi

Looks much better in these pictures than the original ones, good too see you've got rid of those dodgy spaced plates. Cracking job on the detail!

    First Clay and Wax

You've done a good job of that, shame about the egg mark though. I would offer to lend you my PC if you supplied your own pads and polishes but your abit far away.

Hi all! Just got my clio!

You sure the head gasket has actually gone, all the 1.2 16v's have mayo under the oil cap anyway, very common.

    BIG hole in my engine.....

Worth a go but he says it was bought private, usually sold as seen.

    Bargain reliable runabout for someone

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/349629.htm Not quick/ exciting etc, but £900 is a good price for that assuming the 'full service history' can verify that mileage.

    Morning View @ Chatsworth

Great photos and a very smart Clio.

    Ruined Sunflower 172

You could sort that out without too much trouble, if i was buying i would take a set of steelies with me, knock £300 off and tell him he can keep those wheels. As for the graphics I would have to peel those off at the nearest service station. When my bro bought his Clio it had Chrome wheel trims...

    Filth No More...

Very, very nice seats, like the pole positions though they are on the expensive side.

    My Clio RT :]

Some good inspiration here: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=304061 Silvervisons are silver look bulbs for indicators (they obviously flash orange) but you lose the fried egg effect. These are Turbines, fitted as standard to the early Clio 16v's.

    Filth No More...

I disagree it still looks filth. Stick a set of pole positions in there and I might consider a swap ;)
  25. AlexS

    My Clio RT :]

Absolute bargain. First car? The 1.4's are quite nippy, quicker than the newer 1.2 16v's thats for sure.

    My Clio RT :]

Looks very tidy for the year, your not going to find many fans of the lights on here or the fact its a 5door. Looks like its been well looked after though, I would get it as mint as possible, get the hair dryer out on the black trim under the windscreen and on the boot, should restore the...

    Clio 172 cup cheap mods

Best value mod £ for £ has to be a decat. Induction kit is a waste of time unless its a maxogen.

    looky!

Very nice Dawn, but £75, I would be tempted to have a dedicated set of car slippers! (Puma Driftcats!) And Christopher, Timmay, Rich -Leave Paul alone, Inferno is this seasons rust have!

    Tidy Ph1 172

Fair enough, I do the same although not every night, I will PM you any I spot that are out of my price range. £500 isn't bad when you have very little overheads and its a local car, just the cost of the autotrader ad and an afternoon spent with a washmitt and a microfibre ;) Im not a business...
