Take the skirt off as theres no point only doing the bit you can see, itl only get worse!
Sand all the crust n rust back then use some rust treatment like kurust etc, zinc primer then spray it with rattle cans. Most it will be behind the skirt when done so if your not looking for a neat job you...
I lost the rear and hit the tuff block before i knew it we were in the field. The firld was freshly ploughed n took an age to stop.
Ground was soft n the front dug in n tried to drag the front end under the car!!
If its same ascthe megane it will be fixed inside the car, only way to do it is to loosen the subframe and pinchbolt and lower ot enough to turn the column
Leave the suspension connected and just unbolt the subframe and bolt on the column. Lower it down on a jack enough to turn your wheel 180degs and bolt it all back up. I had this 9n the megane estate
But gr n or gr a isnt my car thats built for roads n the odd circuit. It isnt a rallye car its a tarmac car, so widening the track has lots of benefits, albeit benefits that non of us sort of people would notice so your argument is pointless.
