I gotta question how regularly well serviced some of these poor cars are? and I mean a real service and not just a top up with oil and water..(if that!) lol. Any miss-treated abused car of this age will only be as good as the owner that maintains it and drives it in my opinion (or previous...
Thats the one I think I'll go for.. there was a track day racing blue 182 in pgti last month(Mark Fish tuned) that was wearing this Janspeed zorst and thought it looked spot on. You just confirmed my thoughts. :)
I've tried many types and found Meguiars, Mothers both excellent.. but P21-s is the best stuff I have ever used. I didnt take any pics after I used it, but photos wouldnt do it justice. The ease of applying it is just like spreading butter on, and a very small amount goes a long way with the pad...
Yep, the mk1 will also do sub 6 secs all day long with custom zorst etc as mentioned above. I took mine to Ktec and had them fit the KW coilovers, and that was worth every penny! Transformed it.. just a grin to drive/own. Had it 2 years tho, and warrenty was running out! lol. But wanted to try a...
Not a 172 cup, but comparing my old V6 to the 182... the V6 is effortless, just fantastic grip and pulls with ease and makes a great sound up to a ton+ the 182 you have the thrash the nuts off to get it going, the V6 has the power from low down the rev range all the way to the red line, the 182...
Thanks guys :D Dan its done over 100k now, its 17 years old and funny enough thats low mileage, appox 6k a year! Most of the parts on this are new though, I have just about done everything to have it as mint as poss...which was always my plan, to build it as a show car. Its as reliable as a new...
Nice one John, I'll look out for the next pgti ;) what are your 1st impressions with the 182 now you've moved on? (my brother has an Arctic blue 182 and its a stunning colour! always looks clean) would be interested in u'r thoughts on the handling? The mention of coilovers has me thinking your...
mk2 wasnt out when I 1st got mine, but deff the mk2 is the one to get and you'll have some warranty left, I wouldnt buy one without it! Seeing some of the prices now its a small price for a lot of fun.
Make sure 'all' gears are selecting with no crunch, when they get to around 20k miles the clutch starts to go, with all that grip and doing off the line grand prix starts will soon wear it out, and its not cheap. Check brake pads, if they are very low.. could easily start to score the disks.. my...
U'r 5 was something very special, and must have been a big investment. I spoke with u a few times on the other site some time ago. I am a bit surprised u sold it tbh, but I know you was talking about selling u'r 5 some time ago, hope it went to a good home? and please dont tell me you sold it...
cheers Ali, its even got a dust sheet over it now.. lol think its becoming an obsession :quiet: 5's are the only cars I have not stopped lovin since I could drive.
