Yep, another progress thread! :approve: Well if anything, it makes it easier for me to remember what I have done to the car and what still needs doing so here goes!
I bought my first clio in 2004. It was a 1.2 16v Dynamique.
I never had any problems with it at all and my original plans were...
Well done bud!
Looks ace! Very similar to what my plans were for the old beast!
Could do with silvervisions indicator bulbs and the black bumper inserts on the front though! ;)
Bought a new holder as the bulb kept blinking and going dim and I heard that the connectors corrode/rust pretty easily, however, it still does the same thing.
Is the wiring knackered or do I need a new connector as well?
LOL, well as I said, its not being tracked so i'm not too bothered as long as the car stops as well as/better than the standard discs and pads.
So what are your recommendations? ;)
If it says update list, theres a cable you can get for about £15 which lets you use the aux and plug in an ipod, etc.
Cant do that without a special converter box with tunerlist.
The phone will be the same price roughly either way. It just depends if you want to spend a minimum of £35 a month on a contract or jailbrake one and use it on Pay&go or a sim-only contract.
You cant get iphones on contract at the moment though.
Its not going to be tracked tho so is purely for "fast" road use LOL!
I don't know if i can deal with lots of brake dust as my wheels may be going white LOL!
:( ....
Thanks again.
So i'm going to get Brembo Max Discs and Braided lines.
But what pads all round? I don't want Carbon Lorraines and DS2500 are going to be more than the discs and lines put together. Anything else I should use or is it worth saving for the Ferodos?
Cheers for the quick reply!
OK so I will notice the difference with braided lines?
DS2500 are a bit pricey LOL. Would I be ok with standard pads or should I defo upgrade them?
Right i know this comes up alot but it is time for new pads all round and new front discs.
The car is never tracked so can people reccommend me a decent setup if its worth upgrading?
I can get Brembo HC discs for £65 or Max for £90 so not much in it really. Are max worth the extra?
Also...
Looks awesome dude. Take me for a spin sometime soon? Wanna see what the springs and brakes are like!
Oh and me thinks you need some decent pics taking!
:)
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
Looks really good mate. Still unsure about mine too! You still coming to Prescott? Wanna have a look at all your new mods!
Also, how you finding the brakes? Mine need replacing.
Cheers all. I don't know what it is tbh. My mate works at Renault and he bought a new standard clamp and says it doesnt fit and I need a bigger one?!?! I dont think the blueflame is that heavy??? Its much lighter than the standard one. Maybe I should put the cat back on.
Dave - Its just a...
