I bought my g220 when I was feeling a bit flush ;) I don't regret it as it made a massive difference to my old Clio, Exige and now the Meg. But I certainly don't use it often at all.
SHe hasn't got back from work, but she better bloody be that's for sure! ;)
Some sun at last!
Yep, well impressed with AF. But mostly because it was just so easy.
Yeh that's exactly why I didn't want to spend days on it.
Also, as my Mum takes the dog for a walk everyday, most days it looks like she's entered the Welsh WRC stage it's that dirty!
I'll be doing a lot of cycling shortly, so today was just chilling at home....cleaning my Mum's car.....as you do! The paintwork is a right state, the previous owner must have used a scouring pad to clean it! But anywho....I didn't want to do a massive correction detail as it would take ages, so...
I'm still very new to C4, so havent had it long enough to see what it's like. After applying though, the trim does look fantastic and new!
It's not really worth it really. I'm not going to fiddle about with this one. A short shifter and new speakers have been fitted, not really worth a new...
Standard pads should be fine as long as you're not out on track for ages at a time.
Let them cool down too before you come into the pits.
Watch your tyre pressures too.
You have no idea!!
I still can't over how freaking big the doors are on these things. But at least that means easy getting in and out, which is a nice change after the past two cars.
That looks like a very nice car, with the wheels from a cheap ford stuck on it.
(PS I don't know if they're actually from a ford, just saying that they look like they belong on an old cheap ford)
Well it took a lot longer than I was anticipating, but as I havent needed to use the car, I've just kept doing more things in the evenings after work....finishing it off today.
In total:
Washed
Clayed
Machine polished - Menzerna Intensive polish and power gloss on Menzerna polishing pad
AF...
Yeh true! I'm hoping the C5 wheel armour makes a big difference.
The biggest difference is right up close. Before there were black spots everywhere, small iron spots I think. Paint although not that swirled, was pretty rough too.
Now 99% of the spots have gone and its mirror smooth to touch...
Anyone used to Z2 - is it normal that it almost disappears after applying it? When I came to buff I off most of it appeared to be gone. Not sure if its because of the cold too.
I'm used to the kind of 'residue' left by waxes, so wasn't sure if sealants behaved in a similar way.
Received my PB order yesterday. So now I'm back home I'll be applying AF Tough Prep to the whole car, ready for Z2 on Saturday.
And is it just me who never wants to drive their car in crap weather after spending ages cleaning it!?
They should text you and email you.
My PB order is just about to be delivered. So should have the things I need to finish off the Megane finally!
Some AF Tough Prep, then as many coats of Z2 as I can be bothered with!
