I had the same noise came from around the inlet manifold turned out to be the waterpump bearing had failed and was clattering. No need to jump on the dephaser wagon it can be down to various things sparkplugs, injectors,waterpump etc Take it to someone who knows what they are doing like the...

Mines all done and ready now just changed oil and filter and swapped the coolant out due to fitting a new coolant pipe! Just needs a clean if it stops raining tomorrow if not so be it:dapprove:
