I have exactly the same problem! I thought it was the fuel pump also, but, I hadnt used the car for about 5 days until yesterday and it didn't want to start, turned over for ages before it finally started and was fine from then onwards. Am now thinking its the fuel draining back to the tank...

Painted Steel Wheels Thursday, Fitted winter tyres today. Removed tyres from alloys ready to send for powder coating. Removed and painted diamonds and bolts from wheel centre caps.
