Cat171 knowsit. The 172 should average over 40mpg easy at 70-80. Just dont be a chav and race anyone. Giving is RS owners a bad name. What are you going to do when you do your 400 miles? If its just staying put take the clio. If its all town driving I'd be tempted to take the Punto.
