On the contrary i find the dash reading (push the reset button while "OIL OK" is on), is actually quite accurate representation of what you find on the dipstick.
Yeah used oil on both my crank seals, cam end caps, cam seals e.t.c they are fitted easier and none of them have dripped a single bit of oil. its fine.
I lose half my tool kit everytime i work in the engine bay :D
I've done a few clutch/gearbox/engines changes in my time and have had numerous rattles followed by bangs as sockets and spanners fall out the engine bay and fly off down the road lol
I think you'd be much better off just takeing it to Ktec for their map, i only say this as they have obviously spent hours and hours on the dyno mapping these cams, you'd see the best results no doubt whatsoever by using that map.
Interesting, although you netted 5 more horses compared to mine i just nudged past your peak torque (166.9), engines are strange creatures.
I've just rebuilt my engine and matched my inlets so will be getting back to the RR when i can to see how things have changed, ktec RR day anyone?
To the people above ^^ i apologise ive probably missed the point completely and rambled on :P
Ill take some pics tommorow, but where the pipes for the aircon go through to the scuttle area (on a cup), there is a fabric reangular blank. On mine i removed the heat exchanged rad from the blower...
he asked if the basic blowers would work? Thing is the CC'd cars has a large letter box hole in the bulkhead for recirc air to be pumped in, and as far as im aware proper cups have nothing there, so youd need to blank that off too unless you like having drafty feet!
Why do you need to remove the aircon blower unit from under the scuttle?
I removed the Air con from my cup, a lot of people dissconect the air con lines just before the bulkhead (at that funny rectangular manifold shaped thing), i didnt realise you could do that and just hacksaw'd the pipe off...
Haha i remember looking at the plug and wiring bery briefly and didnt see anything wrong, but i never probed for continuity or anything with a multimeter, expensive lesson learned there. BUT on the bright side i can now rape the s**t out of it at Castle Coombe on Monday wohooo
Unfortunately dont have a scanner, ive admitted defeat put it all together and will get it trailored to someone that has dianostics / electrical know how with these cars.
Ive got the relay box apart and am probing all the relays and fuses with not much joy at the minute, the fuel pump definately primes as i can hear it for a split second and its pressurised. Will report back later in the day getting pressty disheartened by this, i just want to drive ths stupid thing!
