tim, i would have thought a weekly wipe over with metal polish, like i do on my minis chrome bumpers, will stop it tarnishing too much. :)

Bump for you but its quite a struggle to fit the cup splitter to a non mk2 172 as it requires a bit of cutting. I don't think there will be many people who have done this but hey, you never know :)

Theres a fair few 172s round the 6k +/- price tag at the mo. With low enough miles, i.e. pre cambelt change, its a bargain.

I must admit I don't use the google desktop, but do use Google Earth, Firefox, Picasa (which is awesome), Ad-Aware etc to name a few.

whatatash - perhaps you didn't see the bit that said... "All can be selected or you can remove ones you don't want, and they are apparently all kept up to date through 'Google Updater'." Antivirus and Antispyware may slow your machine down a little bit but I'd rather have that than a virus...
