Just finished prepping and cleaning Soph's Car for FCS tomorrow.
Drums have had a fresh lick of Hammerite, both rear arches have been touched up (there were big scrapes there), and The Wheel Specialist Leeds and FCS Sticker fitted in the rear window lol.
Then it was cleaned.

Anybody got any essential Mac Software/Applications worth having?
I currently have Onyx, XSlimmer, Office 2008 Mac, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop CS4, iTunes, Tomato Torrent, Parallels, Firefox which I use the most. Anything anybody else recommends?
My car has never been clayed in the past 8 years of it's life, and I think it should be done really. It has some horrible contamination on it that polish etc won't remove, so it really needs it.
Any reasonable recommendations for about £15 overall (clay & lube).
All 55 of the pictures are here;

I was running backup for my dad who was shooting all the main stuff (he used to do wedding photography 8 million years ago when he was young).
A few blurry at the beginning. I would like...
Took about 40 pictures yesterday, here's the few I've processed so far.
The River Aire.
Drax Powerstation, where I serve my apprenticeship.
A barge named "Hiddekel", which was blasting down the River Ouse.
Drax again from a different side, this is week 19 in my 52.
Welsh favourite ;)...
Both Soph's Pearl Black Clio and my Trophy Blue ZR are absolutely covered in swirl marks. Really they need a good machine polish, but I don't have £150+ to buy all that gear.
I usually clean the cars, dry them, then with Soph's I've applied Carlack 68 then Collinite 476 just to protect the...
I received the most random comment on a photo i took the other day. it got me thinking, I wonder who else has had a really strange/random comment.
Mine was as follows;
To which I replied...
Here is our latest Dog is Jack, a pedigree Black Labrador of 15months. We got him free from the prison service, who were given him by a divorcing couple. Unfortunately he made a crap sniffer dog, hence why we got him.
Me mam got his balls done today, with having a b**ch in the house, and to...
As above really, noticed tickets for BRSCC at Cadwell are really cheap, just wondered if anybody has been and took any photos at a BRSCC event before?

Looks a good place to practice some motorsport photography. Have visited...
Me and Soph have been to Whitby with the potential new family dog "on loan" (we are seeing if we want to keep him, he's been rehomed due to a divorce)
Here's some pictures, got more to sift through yet.
Excuse the vignetting on the 18mm shots, thats from having a UV and...
I swear I saw on here something about people getting some coloured opaque plastics which they could use over the flash for dirt cheap or free from somewhere, had a search but can't find it.
Anybody know what I mean, or did I see it elsewhere?
Just received my brandspanking samsung SD933HD 19" LCD TV for my room. Just spent the past hour fiddling with it, and the reception is w**k, and I can't find any freeview channels.
I had freeview before on a standalone set top box on the old CRT, but recently the signal on that turned shite...
Final edits of 2 pictures I took last night of the amazing sunset we had up here. These had attracted 5 or so views each before I'd finished adding descriptions to them!
Processing - Processed in Adobe Lightroom, added some contrast, raised saturation ever so slightly, upped vibrance a...
I can't get a decent capture of sunsets. None of the colours show up like they do in the sky and lots of bits are blown out.
I've tried different ISO settings, exposure compensation, different apertures ( I was shooting in aperture priority). The efforts are pure shite TBH, too ashamed to...
I'm looking for a teleconvertor or extension tube to use with the d40. Reason being I'd like a bit more zoom on the sigma 55-200mm for motorsport.
I haven't a clue what I'm looking for. I'd like to maintain all the automatic features if possible, and don't want solutions that would cost more...
Hi all,
Yes I am the somewhat infamous "Gaz" that sophance speaks about :). Gutted I'll have to pay to get into the trackdays section, I like reading that on Sophs account :(
