Is it perhaps my poofy non oem screen?

Hey gang,
Not having much luck here.
Last week the BeeEm windscreen popped in the extreme cold and now it seems the Clio has started :S
The BeeEm i can understand as it was a high mileage company car from the UK and the screen was peppered with teeny stone chips but the Clio screen looked...
So, I had my motor mapped for a bit on the Clio 172 8200_5411_F4R736_RON98_1110.cal map as recommended by Henk but I pulled it because I noticed a few oddities, I just wanted to check if anyone else noted similar.
1.) On cold start, the car is just fine.....however, when warm, after a blip...
Actually, ill second this.......my Civic clutch pedal used to creak like an old cupboard door. I hated that pedal.
Anyway, changed the clutch one day and bish bosh bash....creak gone.
Again, all down to the lower load on the cable i think.
So yeah, i think the above will do no harm to try...
I paid 500 on the nose and that was without a dephaser or a water pump.
I didnt do the pump as my car had only 49K on the clock and the driver for doing the belts was the age.
The dephaser, well.....I guess i took a gamble there and in hindsight, I'd nearly get that done if i was doing it...
Good lad......they have to be realistic on proces i think.
Alot of them just go on what the computer says but luckily i got speaking to a person that agreed it was daft money and had the authority to drop the price.
Not my fault it took them 2 days in the end
:D

I'd always ask Ranault to look at the price bud......reno dropped a couple of hundered for me when i told them it was stupid money
I know it doesnt help you in particular but I always like top put it out there
Things are different on the mainland with lots of specialists.

I reckon that the squeak is indeed in the cable Andy and that if things are a bit tougher inside the box, the new cable deals with it better than the old.
Submitted to "guides" as follows.
So, our fellow board member buzzer1955 came across this wee idea to sort out a creaky clutch pedal which i am sure we all have experienced so I tried it over the weekend and it has indeed made a notable difference to the clutch feel in my car which has the...
The fingers obviously get worn a little, somtimes with ridges in them because of the force the release bearing puts on them but a bit of oil may help the bearing slide over these ridges...
Getting the oil on the input shaft slider may also help as this tends to get dirty over time and loses...
Ill have a wee crack at this over the weekend and document it just in case it is a durable fix and merits the guides section
Of course, Buzz will have to take the glory though

Also curious to what spray grease you used?
I wonder just how heavy a grease you can get that sprays through a tube.......can you get molyb stuff?
I have copper grease in a spray tin that I thought was usually quite resilient.

VERY interesting post mate, I had thought this EXACT same thing but didnt try it as I doubted whether it would last given the forces in there.
Keep us posted.

Right, when i bought bonk, it had Michelin Pilot Exalto's on the back and Avon ZV5's on the front.
Being the summer, driving it home was splendid with dizzying levels of grip etc.
Now, here comes the winter and i have to say the grip from the Avon's is utterly dire.....would anyone expect...
