Picked up my D7000 for the first time in months the other night. Tried to autofocus about 8m away in the dark, and it would have none of it. Seems pretty strange considering the D40 would.
They don't handle well anyway, bags of understeering cack.
Got the car back today from having a new clutch fitted. A little plate that sits near the springs had decided to abandon ship...
Now operates spot on again thankfully. All I need now is a front splitter and rear bumper and it can...
Easy to work on, light, cheap engines. They're still popular for a reason.
Blighted by s**t craftmanship/quality control really, and poor cooling system designs/bad choices of vehicle to fit the engines into. I could go a lot further but I've said it all before on here.
I'm massively missing RWD. I want to play proper opposite lock again, not letting off the throttle because it wants to go in a straight line.
Plus buying the older version of your stepdad's car isn't cool.
Easily solved, import one. The UK RX7s rot just as much, my 96 import was fresher underneath than 5 year old UK cars. Underseal it properly and it'll last for years and years.
And Ford fans, VAG fans, the lot.
I'm a Jap fan through and through, but I've owned just as many non Jap cars. Hell, I've owned a FIAT, an MG and a Renault, I can do cack cars!
Nope. It seems you either love them, or hate them, and if you love them, then you become a complete and utter mindless spastic who can't acknowledge there are other cars than Hondas.
I had one guy try telling me he tore an RX7 a new one in his, so I asked him if it was on the back of a recovery...
Vtec.
It being silver.
Vtec.
The Owner's Club.
The Bradford Taxi image.
Vtec.
The s**t noise it makes, especially on Vtec.
No torque until about 500rpm before Vtec.
I'm sure it would be a lot better on a track stuck in it's powerband, but frankly I don't want to drive like a 17 year old boy...
Not sure. I can't afford anything I truly want.
I'm toying with maybe getting an E46 330Ci, at least it's RWD, has a half decent image and will sound better. However, it seems the newest, lowest mileage, black or grey, hardtop with a manual box isn't for sale ATM. I've not driven one yet (or...
The accord market isn't, it's full of miserable middle aged dicks who think they are the best car ever made. So the coilovers and wheels are being sold separately, and are worth far more to me that way anyhow.
Changing the clutch will aid the sale mind.
I haven't updated this in a while, mainly because all that's happened is things breaking!
In November, I cracked the rear bumper trying to convince it to return to it's correct shape, then I also drove through a flood which ripped my front splitter clean off, bar 2 1" square pieces left under...
