It looks really clean. I was going to see it too, but decided it was to far to Portsmouth if it turned out to be a lemon. Should have taken a punt. Hope you like it.
I got mine 2 weeks ago and the novelty of flaming pretty much anyone who tries it on still hasnt gone yet.
I'd prefer a 1.4 twinport Corsa tbh.....
... yeah, like f**k I would! Steath does it for me, plus all the toys on it. Nothing more satisfying than pulling away from a rep in his repmobile late for his sales meeting at the carpet shop.
Strange question to ask a group of clio...
Why not just buy a 172ff? Hardly slow at 0.1 secs slower than the cup.
At least you'll then be able to see the dear before you hit it with your xennons and stop in time with the aid of abs. Oh, and you'll be able to keep your cool with the climate control :rasp:
Sure you've not knocked the dimmer?
But yep, if it is the bulb they are dead easy to do. Just remember to take one with you. If the frauds dont do it go to an independent with the old ones and they'll fashon a new bulb into the holder for you if they dont have any.
You'll not get any help with that attitude son ;) You only posted less than an hour in one of the quietest forums on CS.
I picked mine up earlier today. The alternator burnt out last week. They didnt show me how much it would have cost as they are paying for it, but IIRC you have to have the...
I see him about loads. There is a cup parked down in the Sainsburys in Aylesford too.
I see a ph-quick in pretty much the same place on my way to work too on that route.
Lol! I didnt know this was a cs members car. I was really considering ringing you to come and look at this. I seen it on autotrader/pistonheads.
Shame, I ended up buying one that weekend. Its already broken.....
Anyways good luck.

Proper job done on that! I'm particularly impressed with the way the alloys have been ripped off the actual hub front nearside.
Strong...
It cost me about £100 to have the ns front bearing done.
The kit only costs about £30 if you want to do it yourself. Just make sure you take it to a cecent garage to get it pressed in because the 1st attempt on mine they didnt push it in far enough. When the other side needed doing I couldnt...
lol! Same thing has happened on my 172!Tad different though. Picked it up at the weekend. 1st time out today in the rain in it. Get 2/3 of the way to work and all the lights come on.
Serv, stop, batt, abs, traction, c/c, gear change light. Radio goes off and then comes back on.Pull in switch...
Nice one. I picked up my 04 172 last weekend.
Did you have any problems trying to get insurance quotes? I had a right mare because most insurance companies only think that the 172 was made upto a 53 plate.
Actually a RB with stripes could look boyracerish to the average person.
My old man thinks my 172 is boyracerish, but that only because he knows there is a 2.0 engine in it. If I showed it to him and told him it was a 1.2 he'd think it was a nice runaround.
lol! Its actually in the clio handbook this. Like Alan says its to take off the c/c. Look it up in that section. It says fully depress the loud pedal to take it off.
From the past months trawling through autotrader and then actually buying a 172 from a steeler. Those are the prices I've seen recently..
Link to 172: Its actually got 53k miles on it. I only found that out at the test drive. They still havent updated their site 2 weeks on. I drove a fair old...
Just hope you havent got wireless interweb or a dect phone. You'll get loads of interference. Wait till your next door neighbour switches on their hairdryer.
Wires FTW!
