I had to rip apart the bottom of the sh*te R seats and pull the complete loom out. This way the car thinks that the OE seats are still there as the circuit is completed. So I not do get an airbag/service light on in the car.
Re the pretentioners, I took them completely out and replaced them...
Sorry here is the 2nd one. I copied one *2

Guys, run the quoted PSI. I think the manual states it in Bar, but its around 31f/30r from memory. Whoever is running over 36 is nuts, unless you are doing a trackday in the bone-dry!!
Sports car set ups are set to be as neutral as possible to cater for all types of driver and tyre pressures...
Yep, white looks sooooo bad that is why the Renault Clio Junior WRC cars are running blue Clio Cup paintwork with white Speedline Turinis........
Funny that....................
About a big a mistake as Subaru running gold wheels,,,,, NOT!!!!!!!!
Hey Cupsize!!
No I am still 172CUP and still have the cup with the blue Konig buckets. Have just added 17" White Speedlines with Bridgestone SO3s. It looks the nuts!! Handles much better also, less understeer under load.
The Impreza is one of my other cars and is more of a demo car also as...
1: 950 CC Fiesta in Terracotta Orange (the best colour by far for a Fiesta)
2: MG Metro Turbo (Stolen and found in 2 parts in a ditch)
3: Fiesta 1.1 LX
4: Clio 16V (my first proper fast car)
5: Clio Williams 2 (loved it)
5: R5 GTT (wished I never got rid of it. J reg all white last of...
The CUP is as much fun as my Impreza, although were developing a kit that includes remapped ECU, bigger Turbo and larger injectors that will rate the 01/02 WRX around 345 BHP we hope. Were currently dynoed @ 302 BHP without the bigger Turbo & injectors. This will make a big difference over the...
I decided to go for the CUP as I felt the standard 172 was not a car I wanted in respect of the "creature comforts". I like my cars pretty raw so the CUP was it for me. I have changed the seats though as they were completely pants and added 17" wheels as I found that the looser the engine got...
31 and refuse to believe that I left school in 1987,,,,,,,,,,,
,,,,,,,, but I do have the luxury of having a 300 BHP WRX, Elise, Cup, 205 rally car and now a Jap import Forester s/tb to smooth the pain of getting older!!!
By the way CUP boys and girls,,,, the Forester is faster than the CUP...
ABS does not work in the ice and snow as well as a non-abs car, albeit with someone who can control a car.
Went out in the Impreza and although AWD/4WD is good for car control, braking was a nightmare as the abs kicked in and therefore did nothig to completely stop the car.

Guys,
The Cup is fine in the snow. As I live in the sticks on B-roads, they are completely covered with snow and ice.
Try left foot braking, helps with car balance and no sudden throttle jerkiness, a must on snow. Works with me.

Im very lucky to have had 6 Imprezas since 1996 and could never see myself not having one in the household.
Me without a Scooby will never happen.

Having both, I can say that there is not much difference between both in "standard" form in a straight line. However, spend circa £500 on each and the WRX will drive away from the Clio due to the £500- being spent on a completely decatted system (get rid of all 3 cats).

Im 63" and the Konigs in the Cup with all wiring and seat belt pretensioners etc in place are perfect for my size.
Actually, ive never been more comfortable in a seat and the driving position is perfect. Why Renault do not do a lower seat as standard is beyond me.

Guys,
If you have the right tools and a proper workshop with ramps (need this to get the seat bolted in etc) then it can be done. This also includes de-wiring and taking off the seat-belt pretensioners and fitting them onto the new seats.
Now I have done it once, It would take me about 30 -...
