Yes, just say you applied for it and it's maybe got held up in the post! If you were to get stopped you would have your dated online receipt/invoice anyway so you could always print that off and make sure no credit card details are showing and keep it with you if you're that worried!!!!

My car's all sorted now... a new driveshaft was put on this morning and the 'clunking' feeling under the brake pedal has disappeared!

Mine is a rusted and split ABS RING and the mechanic said that even if he were able to fit just a ring, the problem that caused it to split (namely rust) would still be there! (Or something like that)!
