Hope its not the alternator mate. Mine went recently but light was on all the time. 80 odd quid for part and 4 hours labout at 120 quid plus VAT. 240 in total as boot had to come off and was a pig to do, like everything on Valver.
National Tyres do semi sythetic Duchams and filter for 15 quid and BP fully synthetic Verso or Visco 700 for 25 quid. They may have trouble getting filters for new cars but still worth 25 quid and supplying your own filter. Or do yourself if you dont mind getting your hands dirty (I woouldnt...
Wish I had known this ages ago, good ICE places are like good mechanics, hard to find.
I had my first install stuffed up at CarFi in Derby and then finishing off was bodged by Bass Junkies in Wolverhampton.
When Bridgestone bring out the RE050 in smaller sizes I would suggest trying these. Some places will tell you that tehr eis to be an S04 coming out to replace the not popular S02 but I have been told it is actually just the RE050 that is being brought out as their top tyre in more fitments.
Members get discount from carnoisseur and I found them to be cheaper than discount from Speedline direct. Although a user on her beat that quote by 25 quid for 4 Turinis in 16" gold. Just waiting for a while before I get them.
Yeah personal taste. I prefer the lights, mirrors, side strips and seats of the Phase 2. Find the phase 2 seats one of the best Ive sat in, and in leather just so nice. It just looks freasher than the Phase 1 IMHO.
Seen on ebay at 2k opening bid with a reserve price an M reg 16v with leather and circa 70k miles with all receipts. Sure you can get a really good valver for less than 3k and you may just about get a willy. Some people go by trade prices which arent as good but then insurance companies will...
Have posted several times so probably best doing a search. If you have teh CDA run it backwards with the pipe you get running down back of engine bay and scooped forward. Or get some longer stuff and attach to front of car.
To fit it this way battery needs pushing forward a little and...
National Tyres, with voucher out of most press do Duckhams QXR semi and filter for 15 quid and BP Visco 7000 fully synth and filter for 25 quid.
Cant do it yoursef cheaper and no messy hands :)
I found it did when I used it but that was nearer 20k ago. Need to do again but fiddly spraying in inlet manifold. Ecotek stuff may also do same job and be easier to apply. Fuel system additives, spark plugs, ht leads, dizzy and rotor, all these little things can result in power restoration...
Guess it depends where you get RRd and also what state your engine is in.
I get 148bhp from BB chip, Mangnex inc decat and a BMC CDA, RRd at BB. Check dizzy, rotor, HT leads and spark plugs and also worth 10k boost and fuel additives to make sure the engine is running as healthy as it can be.
Got a BB chip fitted over a year ago when they were about 250 quid. Had cambelt and water pump changed and wanted it chipped to.
Produced 148 bhp with BMC CDA, Magnex inc Decat and chip. So about 11 bhp increase IF car came out of factory at 137 quoted bhp AND if I had not lost any power...
Horses for courses. Williams for road holding and comfort, coilovers for lowered stance, great road holding on smooth surface and better cornering speed with bumpier ride on the rough.
Yeah cause of battery light is alternator. Not sure if it got splashed in terrential rain last night or just failed after 8 years use.
Being asked what size it is and cant see on what little I can see of it. Either 70 or 110 amp. Guessing 70 due to the size.
Anyone know and also anyone...
Noticed on the way home very early this morning. Stopped engine and started it again and light would still refuse to go out.
Guessing could be alternator on way out as probably same one from new in 96. Anyone else any ideas?

Last year at BBPT, think about 137 quid plus VAT but water pump needed doing too and got chipped before price went up. Also low temp switch and thermostat fitted, coolant flush, new HT leads so a bit of a service really.
Did the same in my valver when the ecotek was switched off and was geeting less miles out of a tank. Ran out 1 mile away from the nearest PS.
Took two petrol cans and a hell of a lot of turning over to get started again. Car felt really crap to start with. Changed fuel filter and also put...
