As I am interested but not needing fitting for a while, if cheap would go for the unit and then get fitted later. Only problem I can see is would someone be prepare to fit and set up when you havent bought it from them and also it may not work out much cheaper, depending on set up time and cost.
I am interested but was waiting for a few more miles on car before total engine rebuild. Have new cams, followers and getting hold of megane bottom end. Then headwork and SMT6 to finish off.
Not sure if a good idea to get the SMT6 on its own as it is only as good as the place that programmes...
Flushing agent is only required if going from non sythetic to semi or full. Cant hurt though. National Tyres do fully synthetic and filter for 25 quid fitted. I would do that as waiting to 12k isnt good.
SFS hose was extra. So BMC just comes with corrugated type air feed that I have running down the back of engine and forward facing. Nice tight fit for the CDA wedged in by battery. Think this is better than Viper which just sits near radiator.
So if any1 get a CDA, need adaptor fabricating...
I had a bargain then, place I got mine from made the adaptor from drawings I supplied, provided SFS silcone hose and CDA for less than 200 quid.
Then fitted and RRd it too.
Dont know about a rubber adaptor. An adaptor is reguired to fit silicone hose between CDA and throttle body. BMC list an adaptor but allegedly not available.
It would be best to speak to eurostyling who I believe are the UK importers. They should be able to advise. I got an adaptor...
Im just going for Turinis as they are available easily in gold, look good on a blue valver. Not aping the williams as I just feel both Renault and Subaru got it spot on by matching blue paintwork with gold wheels.
Weight of wheel will be slightly increased by going to 16" from 15". The...
And dont forget some bigger disks need bigger wheels.
I just fitted Tarox G88 40 groovers all round. Very good but a bit overkill on rear and not really required. Their pads work well too. Did take a while to bed in but they are very good. Think I got them from Carnoisseur for rear and...
Or run it on Duckhams QXR semi synthetic at £15 a time inc filter from National Tyres. Who now do fully synthetic BP visco 700 for £25 inc filter.
When it gets low just get a new change, better than topping up and cheaper too.
Probably as good, if not better than FK. Think they do 3 versions, with one in stainless steel. Take a gamble. Check if TUV approved etc and cant go far wrong.
Think there are a few people in 172 style clio with either H&R or FK. In my opinion cant go wrong with either.
Didnt go H&R route on mine as only supply the fronts so think it would have been another brand for rear, and more expensive than FK. Told by Performance Driven in Taunton, where I...
Would probably go for Michelin, seeing as its getting summery and should be less water about. Eagle F1s for winter and something like Bridgestone RE050 or Michelin Exalto for summer.
Any crap from thrashing etc will ultimately be in the oil and filter. Not sure but some more techy people will be able to advise, but old oil probably is not as good as new oil in properties.
Think a regular oil change is important in keeping everything running sweet and any impurities away...
Would have thought so as camber adjustment is via moving the struts or shocks as you may be calling them. Fitting new ones will need setting up again. If lowered us camber adjsutment bolts to get as much adjustability as you can. Found you run too much neg camber when lowered.
Are the exalto 2 as fitte dto 182 cup out yet? Id go for them if not much more than the Goodyear. Goodyear are a good tyre but better in wet than dry. Michelin may be other way round and as its getting dryer now :0)
Only got mine done 1 notch on the torsion bar which is about 15 mm. Would not go any lower personally. Front is a little lower but scrape centre part of exhaust on speed humps and would not want any lower making it more impractical.
Simonez do a teflon based cleaning kit. Spray can of shampoo stuff then trigger spray of teflon protector. Use one then the other and teflon helps prevent stains in future ;)
I found by BB chip to raise the rev limiter, as they all do and power seems to be more linear. The drivability of the car is better. Its not all about bhp. Got mine fitted when I had a cambelt change and with my CDA and Magnex inc decat they RRd at 148bhp.
Think the chip was 250 when I got...
