I have a memory stick that contains some software for work on it. The format is for XP, and when I plug it into my PC running Vista it not seen at all, unsurprisingly. Is there some way to look at the software, even though its not for Vista, on my PC?
Yeah, mine was stood for around 7 months, but run several times a month. The buyer came and nothing ! We used a battery booster pack, and still nothing. Fitted a new battery and it fired first time. My battery was the original, so nearly 9 years old.
Not sporty enough for me :(
On a side note, I bought my first Clio from your place in 2004. It was a new. well 9 miles on the clock, Clio Cup...for £10500. A great buy :)
I've been looking at the China Renault website, and it seems they only sell an SUV and a few saloons. Is this right? I wasn't expecting the full Sport range, but I was hoping there would be a Twingo !
Seems they had a Clio Cup series here, though...
I teach English. But I wasn't a teacher in the UK...I was a chemical tanker engineer. We used to get £8.73 an hour for a skilled job. It's a fcuking disgrace. Here I can get £41 for 2 hrs using a text book teaching 5 girls and boys. Hell, I get £16 an hour acting like a clown for some...
I'm in Beijing. I came here just for a change. I love it here, nice people, interesting place, but the air is s**t today ! I work 20 hours a week and get more money than I did for 50 hours a week in the UK.
Oh, and the Chinese birds love us foreign guys ;)
But no Cup.....
It was the battery. Tom from here has it and i'm sure he'll look after even more than I did...such as washing it more than I managed too ! lol
I'm told they don't allow RHD cars here. Also, the fuel is different so it may have lost some performance. In the city here you don't really need a...
I just sold my RB 182 Cup to a member on here. To say I am gutted is an understatement. I moved to China last year, and bringing it here wasn't possible. I had owned it since 2006 and its been the best car I've ever had. It had a damaged front shocker a few years ago which was a pain to sort...
Another member has just been to view my 182 Cup. I'm in China, so my friend and my brother are dealing with this for me. The battery died a few weeks back, so my brother brought a booster pack with him to start the car. But when they tried to start it the engine would turn over briefly and then...
I used mine to go from Manchester to London/Edinburgh, pick up the shopping, commute to work, take a few birds out, move house, have fun in...the lot, and got around 38mpg. Its a perfect car IMHO :)
(ps, its for sale as I'm out of the country ;) )
Sounds like a battery problem. An engine is harder to start when cold. Try charging it and then start from cold and see what it does. Short journeys wont help the battery, especially in winter.
Yeah. He's going to give it a full charge and then try it. If it has to be jumped then so be it. No point in shelling out for a new battery...i'll just knock it off the price if I sell it.
No. It's just sat on his drive and every two weeks he starts it, lets it run until warm, revs it gently and then turns it off. He moves it a few inches so that the tyres don't flat-spot.
Do you suggest I just get an old battery so that he can run it from time to time?
My car has been SORN for around 4 months, but my friend starts it every two weeks and runs it for around 10 minutes each time. Whilst I was driving it earlier this year I noticed that on a few occasions the car engine didn't turn over very fast on the first turn of the key. This only happened...
Just looking at the pictures again I can confirm that this one is a shed ! (Engine painted, no airbox, rust at lower b-pillar, seat bolster looks fcuked, 12 owners, clocked no doubt, steering wheel marked, dent in hatch etc )
