great guide, thanks. one suggestion for when you're cutting though, what you should do is insert the selector rod back into the clamp about an inch (or whatever you want to cut off) and tighten the clamp up, then it'll be held in position and you can cut against the edge of the clamp as a guide
i put two little marks on the two sections of the selector so i could marry them up again when refitting my gearbox. obviously you'll have to bear in mind there's no point marking less than an inch from the clamp as you're cutting this bit off (not the clamp end obviously). might give this a go...
there's some cobble stones where i live and i've noticed that when i drive over them my car bangs about and you feel everything, but when i reverse over them it's as smooth as silk.
is this likely caused by wishbones and/or top mounts?

if swapping subframes you'll need new tie rods as well. the tie rods i got delivered with a dci rack were much shorter than the sport tie rods. alternatively you could get hub spacers and wheels with a...
Re: Flame Red DCI 80 Sport Rep
would you really buy power mods for a dci? i like the idea of a dci sport rep, but i'd spend it on the show not on the go. unless it has a turbo, then getting it remapped may be an option.
does this lower collapsible shaft include the bottom universal joint with the bush in it?
i find i can turn the wheel a little either way before it starts to turn the wheels. i've pulled the boot next to the clutch pedal and at the bottom of the column i can see a little notch and what i gather...
back to the dogbone, i had a reply from powerflex who tell me that it should be fitted with the taller part of the bush against the gearbox, they sent me this pic. i'm still not convinced to change mine though! i've never heard of problems with it fitted with the shorter end against the gearbox...
well, i had some success. i dropped the rack off it's mounts and tightened it 180 degrees. steering was alot tighter which was great, and it got rid of the play i could feel in the system, but it was so tight the car wouldn't straighten itself up! with the wheel at a 45 degree angle it would...
that's alot of money for non-performance mods, but i think u might be misunderstanding something here. if you don't declare those mods and you have an accident, your insurance company will not pay out for ANYTHING, not just stuff you haven't declared. they'll look for any excuse not to pay, and...
is this the item i'm looking for? doesn't look accessible without removing the rack. due to lack of sight i can't see how to remove the stake unless it's the big plastic ring around the hex hole.
here you can see the gap in the subframe
this is it from the other side
