UPDATE: Started her up this morning, she ticked over for about 1.5 seconds then cut out. Re-started and she was fine... When driving last night, she drove nicely so its very werid. Didnt actually drive her this morning, it was a matter of moving her about 3meters off the drive.
Something i...
The only thing is RB was only done as a CUP... i would want to understand why the cup wheels arnt on there (could be wrong, but dont look the right colour)!
Try to do it at the weekend! Unless the UNIT boys want to help me!
You know it could be normal, and me being super paronide! i get moaned at by mates for being like it, but im an enthusiast, and therefore everything has to be perfect :)
+1! or really annoy them and turn it round the other way and put it back in exactly the same spot!
Council cleaning the streets and actually caring? sounds like you have a good council ;)
Full service about 2/3 months ago.. they were brand new NGK plugs! plus also cambelt was done a month ago! So since service ive done maybe 4,000 milesish!
So recently when first starting up, it takes two attempts. First attempt seems to tick over, but just doesnt want to fire up properly. Second attempt its starts and its fine.
Has anyone had this problem before, if so what was it.
I was thinking maybe its a fueling issue, but could also be...
That make sense, as rear pads are close to needing changing... i suppose the reason its coming on at bends is because the movement of the liquid is going below the sensor!
Thanks for that!
So im having two issues, they have both started to occur in tandom with each other, however im not sure if they are related. So you aware as this may help car was fully serviced 2 months ago, done 4,000 miles since. Cambelt was done 3 months ago and done about 4500 miles since.
Stop Light &...
Cheers mate... would be good to put the megan box in, but it prob means so serrious structual work and to much aggg! but at the same time, it might be better long term (if its possiable) as you'ed have a slightly strong box id assume!
See this is what im thinking... I can also do cambelt ect... myself (with a friend) before the lumps put in, looking at getting a bigger turbo, intercooler ect... but im just wondering why i see more people turbo'ing the clio engine and not putting the megan engine in.
Thanks for you advice...
Hi All,
Now im sure this is a re-post, yet i have a few questions and would like some tech advice.
So im planning on Turbo'ing the Clio pottentially in march, once ive got a bit of money put aside. Ive been looking at a few options. Ive spoken to engine dynamics who i believe can do a low...
Yep thats correct...
Best bet, fill back up with petrol to the max (just incase the float is stuck, might release it), reset the trip and see how it goes. Your engine mgmt light prob will stay on because the Lambda is still plugged into the decat, not sure if the RS tuner will turn it off!
LOL at the engine management light being the alternator... im glad its not the alternator tho.
Make sure you reset the trip computer first tho, then you can see if it sorts you MPG out mate!
Also take chips advice and maybe re-set the ECU by leaving the battery off for a good 15 mins! The...
Hope so... you might find it all linked. In relation to the fuel light and miles, it could be related to the Lambda. Or alternativly the float in the tank is buggered!
Once you've got it all fixed tho it will be pratically brand new!
If you take from the Loom it wont give a reading, if you pull out, will still give a reading. If you disconect, your get no reading and normally an engine mgnt light if not mapped!
Yep fully agree on that. Unless it was allready on its way out and as you said all happened at the same time.
Scutch - fingers crossed for you thats all it is, let us know if it sorts it later on!
As long as your on a flat surface and not under there for mega long your be ok... just make sure you get out from underneath every so offten and check hight ect... oviously not the safest of ways, but make do with what you have lol
or altnativly get to tool station or argos and get some cheap...
Yer i could see that, just wonder if there giving off the wrong readings, not techinical enough to answer that!
Oh and if the sensor hasnt been removed for a while, might need some elbow grease on it... had that problem myself this weekend! ;) just dont snap it!
Shouldnt make any difference if you remove bank 2, bank 2 just read the emissions after the cat! I reckon bank 1 (pre cat) is nackered! you got someone elses you can borrow?
apparently its a common problem on a 182 due to the manifold set up, thats what ive been told. What Engine Dynamics...
