i bought the nikon D40/D40x field guide book from amazon. pretty damn good! It learns you all about photography, how to shoot different shots, what settings etc, but its aimed at the D40/D40x obviously which makes it easier to follow for us n00bs! Iv learnt a fair bit already from it already...
