Good stuff, as i said before its been 9 years since I've driven a hot hatch, I've had 346 330d, 330i , Twingo GT since but currently getting around in a Skoda Citigo!!! Yes i said Citigo ha. I worry that i may jump in the Clio and wish i'd gone for a bit more comfort. It could of course go the...
Hi mate, i was interested in your 172 cup as you know but couldn't stretch to 4k unfortunately. I have also considered the type R, i've not driven a Clio for nearly 9 years so maybe i'll also find it a little harsh now i'm into my 30s!
Anyway, how do they compare?
Which one do you think will...
Anyone know of these 2?

Morning mate,
What an absolute steal! Unfortunately for me i wasn't able to see the car til the weekend so lost out. Hope its as good as it looked in the pics, can't be many around like that one. I do hope another pops up
Some good spots here! All things that put me off, i am also picky but i'm in not rush to buy. Chances are there is a better one out there without these minor niggles
If nothing else turns up by this weekend then a i may take a drive to the garage, if the body is mint and drives well then i may...
Thanks all,
This one below, only thing putting me off is those carbon strips inside, not my cup of tea. I know they can be changed easily enough though of course...
Put it this way, i would most certainly take all those 'mods' to have that colour combo, wheels, plus being a minter.
Think i just need to patient and the right one should come up.
Cheers
Wow, that looks absolutely incredible, best colour and best wheels which also have the best finish! What is the mileage?
Ideally i want 100% standard but i'll accept i may have to buy one that has been lowered, air filter change etc, anything not too difficult to swap over.
Congrats mate, that...
All,
Work commute is now only 9 miles there and back so i am in a position to purchase a warm/hatch as i'll only be covering 3k miles a year now!
I owned a 172 Cup 10 years ago, loved it so much and wonder why i ever got rid!
Anyway, with £3,000 to spend at the most i am torn between 172 Cup...
Thanks for info,
Yea the Puma Racing looks really nice compared to the standard Puma, prices gone through the roof though!
I'll keep an eye out as i feel i could end up with the Puma plus 2 grand left in my pocket, be nice to have for any needed repairs.
Any idea on reliability? Is a Puma...
Thanks all,
Well i found what appeared to be a beauty a few days ago but already sold as expected. 2002, 172 cup, 70k miles, completely standard and was Trade as well, only £2,500!
Someone suggested a Ford Puma as an alternative if i am looking for a fun car to drive that won't break the bank...
So much love for the Williams, always got a thumbs up from them whenever they were driving alongside my pug!
TBH, it will be used 4 days a week for an 8 mile round trip and then the odd trip at the weekend as well as a Sunday blast whenever i have the time. Not looking at a prokect or a track...
Never driven one but love the look, great looking car. However, having owned the 172 cup i just know how much i love it and know i won't have any regrets.
Definately considering the 182 FF as well though, i still think the'll rise in value but just not quite as much as 172 cup. I love race...
True, i would 100% be buying the trophy if i get stretch to it but at the moment i only have £3,000 tp spend at the very most.
I am struggling to think of another car for around £2,500 that is as fun and as cheap to maintain as clio that could also make a few quid over the years rather than...
