I want a Hartge S after driving Cooper S boys car yesterday. Cant stop thinking about all that totally effortless power and the sound of the supercharger. Mmmmmmmmmm :D
Think its around 215bhp now. If youre careful setting off, traction isnt much of a problem with the 17" wheels on it.
And yes, its possible that the cold air right on the intercooler helped at the RR day, but it is still rapid. First gear is far too long though. With a closer ratio box itd be...
Oops, I mean toasted by a Hartge Cooper S!
Had a drive of CooperS Boys Hartge Cooper-S last night. Its, um....quick. Before the conversion it was neck and neck with the Williams until 115mph where it crept past. This time it pulled away immediately and continued to pull away convincingly to an...
My Williams did this a few weeks back when I was sat in traffic. Did it three or for times so I revved the engine upto 5k a couple of times and it started idling properly and hasnt done it since

Didnt think about the gear box. Good point though. Got to be an advantage over the MK1 in that respect.
Not trying or wanting to spark off a big argument, but isnt the 172 MK1 just a spare wheel away from the Cup in weight? Eg: ditch the spare of 14/15kg and have a car that weighs the same? Should both be around 1021kg
Tescos did that with me. Just let your insurance run out and renew it online. Thats what I did and I saved hundreds of pounds over what they asked for on my renewal notice.
