Mine works! As for emissions.... only just got the car decatted and will leave on for MOT to see if ecotek helps.
Some people plike the ecotek, some dont. Same as probably any mod on a car will work for some but not all depending on the current state/tune of the vehicle.
Why is it any mod is useless to some people because if it was any good Renault would have fitted it as standard !!!
If the Clio was made to the best it could be they would cost a hell of a lot more money. All cars tend to be a compromise of some sorts, due to cost or wide range of potential...
Scott, take the time to go to the place and get the chip done, de-cat as well whilst you are there. I would never think of doing this myself and it would never be as good. If you did youcould stuff it up or the whole ECU and then where would you be.
Got mt decat (magnex) and chip fitted at...
Yup. Got mine done at BB at same time as cambelt change. Shouold of got it done years ago as power now seems to kick in at lower rpm, 3k ish. Also a lot better to drive around town and the slightest touch of the right pedal gives instant response on the motorway.
Very addictive to drive and...
Jeez, 20 months on my SO3s and swapped the front and rear over so I have 6mm on front and 4 on rear. S02s are supposed to be better but rare as rocking horse now teh S03 replaced it.
Hopefully my FK Automotive will be just as good when I get them fitted this month. Although fitting was FOC which is why I got them. Think them come with the tools for fitting and a can of spry to keep them looking nice/oiled.
Thats why I get my changes done at National Tyres for 20 quid inc semi synthetic Dukhams oil. Was a bargain at 15 quid but even 20 quid would only just cover the cost of oil.
My Tarox have the sensor ring as indents on the actual hub itself. Only found out my car didnt have ABS after I had mounted the new bearing in them. Gonna fit when I can get my rear wheels off (lost locking wheel nut adaptor) and hopefully they will be ok, just not needing the ABS sensor so...
Sensor ring is moulded into the actual disc and hub (1 piece unit). Well it is on my Tarox which I got thinking I had ABS and hadnt.
Id take them back and swap them for the correct discs!
Sounds like a good idea Paul but obviously anything you do will require info to back up why you have done it. Think that is what your lecturer will be after.
Gonna be a bit of a hard project as why manufacturers actually make their IKs the way they do is something you wont easily find out...
Theyre well tested and consistentlky good in tests in terms of a few extra bhp but I prefer the look of Magnex. Arent Supersprint painted except for the talpipe?
Someone on ebay is selling 4 for £120 buy it now price.
I fancy having a proper alloy for the spare wheel so if anyone fancies joining together to buy the four please let us know. Maybe others would like one for the spare?
Also someone is selling the centre caps seperately in a quantity of 4.
Think the fronts are the same with/without ABS. You can always check manufacturers websites like Tarox for example to see if there is any difference.
I got rear G88 Tarox for ABS and then found I hadnt got ABS. There is a casting made on the hub part of the disk for the ABS sensor. Havent...
Was with elephant last year and now with esure. Zero, now, nadda excess which is cool as is 1K ICE cover. NCB protected etc and just checked against LV which is dearer for their quick quote.
Sorry, out on an all afternoon piss up yesterday.
BMC supply the filter and bracket to attach the CDA top somewhere. So little room you dont need the bracket as mine is wedged up to the battery. Silicone hose is needed. Steve got some SFS stuff that is apparently better than Samco. This...
Is this from Steve How who made mine? If so he should know. If not I would try Steve as mine fits fine and they knocked up the adaptor so should be able to get others made.
Got mine done at its last service, they only replaced one cable and charged me half an hours labour. Other one snapped when it was MOTd so they changed that for about 15 quid including cable. Must be quite easy if you can get underneath.
Think KW are one of the people who do most kits. FK Automotive would be my choice a stehy are using Koni internals, TUV approved and come with Lifetime guartantee. Think KTEC are now using them but unsure as to V6 availability.
Probably gonna be quite difficult to source as there arent mega...
Thats really bad and defo sounds like something went wrong with the car.
Hopefully it was from a dealer with some kind of warranty rather than a private sale. Luckily you wrent hurt but could have been far worse.
If you have got any kind of warranty and come back against the seller I would...
Worn tyres are worst on the rear than the front. Driven did a test on channel 4 ages ago and the rear end loses grip and swings around when it loses traction, especially on wet or greasy roads.
My Clio did it when I got the car as it had different tyres on every corner with different tread...
Yeah should be Steve Howe of PTI. Got his mobby number if you need it.
Im not sure if I was supposed to go back for them to finish anything off. Please let me know if this is the case. Adaptor was made in mild steel as it was more workable but think they may do them in stainless.
Would...
Skiidd69@aol.com is the email for Steve Howe of teh company who sorted my kit and adaptor out. I would advise giving him a try as he did me a good deal and the adaptor he made for me is great.
Mention me and it should jog his memory or help as it was 6 months ago.
