OK, well guys....... yesterday I finally saw my car leave Jenvey and go down to Power Engineering, so now its onto the ECU wiring, setup etc etc etc, but not an easy job as theyve got a few hurdles to overcome first, but were getting there.....
And just to find out, we cranked the car...
Well guys..... we have movement!
The car is currently sitting on the back of a trailer and by tomorrow morning (tuesday) itll be down to start the next stage of work :-)
Ill have some more info when I get back home tomorrow, but needless to say Ill have some piccies :-)
LoL, Easy mods to reach 200bhp..........
I can tell you, there are a few of us who are working pretty hard to crack open the 200bhp thing at the mo....... and Im one of them
If youve got the ESP system then there is a little button down by the dash lighting control down and to the right of the steering wheel, but youve got it youve gotta turn it off every time I think.
Hehe Ive had problems simply fitting the acellerator pedal (Ive swapped from the fly-by-wire to the normal setup) and its a git, you get it slightly out and it sticks at WOT - not a nice thing I can tell ya
Mate, I think the best place to start looking is the Scenic 4x4 running gear, obviously it wont be a bolt-on job, but its probably the best starting point for ya, if you go and have a look at/under one take some good photos and post them up yeah?
Andrew! what the hell have you been smoken dude?
Renault doesnt do one, and theres a reason for that, cos its a performance car, leave the caravan towing for the Cossie blokes who set the speed records for towing them LoL
Anyway, can you really imagine what what happen if you had a caravan...
Try finding a Renault Minute garage as they normally have enough people around to fit in any jobs that need doing there and then, find one and give them a ring, not a difficult thing to cure.
Tom, nice idea, aircon straight onto airbox, with a normal front facing hose too, then starts will just take the air from aircon, and once your going this is suplimented by normal air - result :D
Remember that whatever N20 jets you choose to go for on an NA car it works out more like 2/3s of that figure, whos N2O kit are you going for? Wizards of Nos???
Oh come on guys, if you fit a Viper it is generally accepted that the air/fuel ratio will be knocked out, this will therefore lose you power at some points and maybe even lean out a bit, BUT if you correct the fueling by means of a custom map or unichip, then you do indeed gain power over...
If you wanna do it properly, do it to the fog light, if you search round you might find some pics of TimOs mk1 which had this done.......
Rhys mate, front facing is the only way to go with these things;)
Hmmmm right, well there might be something in this.... just maybe, as that pipe is the one that leads to vacuum controlled flap thingy..... so what youre actually doing is allowing it more air than normal by basically bypassing that flap....... Hmmmmmmmmm get hold of an AP22 and do a shed load...
How cool does the inlet system get mate? (The bit with Renault in the top) with the viper on that was stoney cold after a good thrash :-) gotta aim for that
It shouldnt be a problem, it isnt a sealed kit so it wont suck up like a Viper can, this is all about pushing cold air to the filter....
Good job Rhys, you gonna demo this at the next York dragway day??
