Its an old topic but theres never been a proper answer to it as far as I know! Most people dont bother. A few have tried bits of tape to make it look like they were having a go.

Just leave it as a 182.

Pop down to the trackday at Oulton Park on the 13th July - lots of us will be there with all manner of aftermarket seats that you can try out. (You dont need to pay to get in or anything). Trying out the seats in the shop is ok, but you wont really get any impression about what they might do...

you have 4k left on the fronts after 12000 miles? Are you sure its a 182? I never got more than 6k out of my fronts on my 172 ;) Agree about the pressures though, 33 front 30 rear is a little high if you want maximum grip.

Not necessary. 9k is prob for a diesel or something.
