I was pulled and fined £100 for exactly the same size plate, you got lucky, I got a real b*****d I even had the correct one in the boot but he wasnt for letting us swap it.
Ive had a small misifre for a few weeks now only happening below 2k when i put my foot right down, It only does it slightly sort of a single misfire then pulls as normal all the way.
So yesterday i took it through the revs untill 7k in 3nd gear then i come to a steady stop,

i had exact same problem, the two pezzy 1cm bits of tape that come on the deflector are not enough i went over the whole edge with double sided, put deflector in, window up, then used some cloths i think as a wedge and sortof stuffed them under deflector from the outside, just to make sure the...

I play source now, played in a few leagues on 1.6 back in the day, stopped playing as much when our clan disbanded. Was ace being in a clan playing competitively.
mine developed a misfire a couple of days ago after going through a deep puddle, the misfire was happening between 3-4k, and sounded like a machine gun, if i really put my foot down through the gears it sometimes wouldnt misfire, i checked all plugs, leads, electrical connections for water etc...
I had the older bigger style ramair filter anyway so just had to buy the pipe, fitted last night was a tight squeeze but sorted it would have been easier with the newer smaller filter. It sounds so good at 4-4.5k the pipes definatley added an more aggresive tone to it,
