Car looks great, good write up!
I agree re the not going balls out fast to have fun, I have had some of my best drives just making swift progress and enjoying myself rather than focussing on going as fast as you can, just not worth it on the roads, save that for a track day!
(excuse the pun :))
I have some Bose Quiet Comfort 1's! Had them for a long time (14 years?!) and still going strong, always impressed with the ability to drown out background noise on a flight. Sound quality is superb too in my opinion, not everyone likes the bass heavy sound of them though.
Depends how you drive it, mine is averaging 37.3 at the moment. Thats with some very short commutes, country road driving and a bit of motorway. Interestingly it is worse on the motorway than running around (down to the low gearing). Even when I did a track day and the run there and back it...
That is a fantastic price for the wheels, would love the Turini style rims, I cant justify it though, if they did them in silver I maybe could!
I was looking at a set of Toyo Proxes PX4 from Camskill, but they no longer seem to be listed and everywhere else wants a lot more for them, don't...
What sort of a job is it removing the second cat? Did you do this with a standard exhaust? How did it sound? I was thinking of getting a panel filter although not sure which one to get, the Monster one is expensive!
Just been for a run out in the Swift, still going well, i've done nearly 10,000 miles in it now and it's wanted for nothing. Finally going to be putting a new set of tyres on in the new year, apart from that its spot on!
I wouldn't bother, I used to run Sophos on my work mac and it made it run really slow, so I binned it off. Been using a mac every day at work for 10 years now and 3 years at home without av and never once had an issue...
In contrast I remember doing a clean install of xp on my pc at home and it...
I like the sound of it under load but not keen on the off throttle rasp... I know a lot of Honda's do this with aftermarket exhausts, no idea what causes it? Car looks really nice btw!
I would be very careful taking images from Google images, it is likely that you will not be allowed to use it on your website.
PS if you are wanting to make the image larger it will lose quality.
I agree, this could happen quite easily, however if it is a second car the amount of fun to be had on a twisty road easily out weighs this in my opinion. I always felt like it was a waste driving it on straight roads!
I enjoyed my Elise S2, was a good car. I used mine as a daily and managed fine, the only worry for me was an eagle eye on the water temp gauge with it being a k-series but I later found the fan wasn't working correctly which would have made my ownership experience less tense if I had known at...
Sounds pretty terrible, how are they altering the pitch of the exhaust though?! I can only imagine by putting different amounts of load on the engine by slipping the clutch to different degrees?
Mines dropped on the floor a few times, other than that looked after it and its been faultless in the 3 years Ive had it, well worth the purchase price...
If you are going to spend that much what about the bit extra and get a Macbook Air or entry level Pro, you can get education discounts on them which make them a bit cheaper. Only laptop i've had with proper build quality.
This looks so aggressive for a big car, really like the styling!
I was lucky enough to drive a C6 V10 Avant with an MTM conversion to 720 bhp, was unbelievable to drive! Want one...
I wouldnt let the wheels put you off, I bought a low mileage 172 (20k) with horrendous wheels on and Apex springs :( turned out to be a brilliant purchase though. Put it back to standard(ish) and it was a mint car!
... said car
Saw this on Kirkstall road yesterday around 11am, was in the Swift. It looked really well, sure I recognise it from here, I overtook so I could see what wheels it was on!
Have you tried someone like sprint finishes? dads mates brand new range rover got keyed and they just blended it in and you could not tell (was a pearlescent paint too)
Ps it sounds dodgy but they didnt paint the whole side, just treated the key mark and he is very picky, was spot on...
