Im pretty sure that they will just take the car as it is. If you get on with the garage owner they might let you take bits off but only after the assessment has been carried out. The only other alternative is to find out which scrap yard its ended up in and buy the bits back off them.
Given that you can no longer get the supersprint; what exhausts are there available for the discerning gentleman who wants to make a f**king racket? Want one that sounds raw without making a noise like a sumo wrestler farting into a dustbin after a heavy night on the curry.
Also, do exhausts...
Not really. Although if Im driving along and I switch the air con I can hear the engine note change slightly. I can see the eefect its had on the fuel consumption tho, its going through petrol pretty quickly at the moment.
Just read in another thread that a Cat D is where the car has been damaged beyond economical repair (i.e. written off). What do the other types represent?
Thats why its always worth doing your homework before you go to look at a car. If you dont know any better, a dealer can fob you off with all sorts of bullsh*t.
Looks like a fairly simple principle. No reason why it shouldnt gain a bit of power.
I might see if I can make one up at some point to do a similar job and just put a universal sized filter on the end.
Dunno why they bother. I mean I know they cant have anything super powerful but the cars only have a max speed of about 45mph. I cant see that its going to teach them anything about drag racing?
Was the jet powered drag racer there? That thing is loud as hell, and it goes like a b*****d!
You can measure it from the roof to the floor if you really want to! It doesnt matter as long as you go from the same point each time. I found the most convenient way of doing it was from the bottom of the front bumper to the ground.
Win what? A beauty contest?
As for performance Id guess they would be closely matched. Probably more likely to be separated by the driver than the car.

cant imagine how difficult and annoying it must be doing it singlehandedly on your own with no pit or ramps!
Its annoying, believe me!
Could you not repair it by putting in a couple more self tapping screws?
If you cant I think theyre about £120 from renault. (Thats a bit of a guess but Im sure they are more than a ton).
Spotted on Skellingthorpe Road last night. (Not by me tho) It had a CS Sticker in it apparently. I also saw a williams in Saxilby last night so it could be the same one??
