Hmm, I thought I could even up the wear by swapping them so that when I do put new tyres on I would replace all four as im not sure what the effect of contis on the front and toyos on the back would be like.

I did wonder about losing grip at the rear but I dont want to replace them when they is good tread but dont fancy toyos on front and contis on rear.

Do you have to calibrate those AP-22s to the car or did you do this and it was that far out?

I never said Sony were a better head unit than any other, I just think the protocol for the head units is most adaptive giving them better integration with car units. The 172 changer is alpine but try and get an aline head to work with it :o

Arent K-Tec working on one?

Maybe because Sony have the best interface design so they will work in the car (and many others) with the existing Display and Steering control?

Actually, SOAPSUDS has a great idea, disable the dash passenger airbag first using the key in the pass door !! :)

What will happen to my remote locking/keyfobs if i remove the battery, will they need reprogramming?

I plan this weekend to remove my dash to fit my headunit/changer in the car. Ive read the dash removal, all pretty straight forward, Ive heard that the pillars should be removed first (are these easy?) and Im a little concerned about the passenger airbag. Should these things be ok?

Optimax is only 98ron, Super is only 97ron and normal is 95ron 98ron best suited to 172, runs better, but can use 97 or 95. I always use optimax (unless I have to use something else)

Hmm, maybe I will get some at somepoint. Sounds worth spending a little bit more for something good. Think Ill just stay with the head/changer upgrade and see how I get one. Think Id like to update the fronts/rears at the same time so need to work some more before I can afford anything else...

Well I dont want to spend a lot and I dont know what to look at, Id say around the £100 mark. If its not worth it for that then I wont bother. Volume and Bass is not really for me, its more the quality (Having said that Im playing MP3s and MDs through it - lol)

Im no where near my car at the moment, hence asking. I want to upgrade the fronts with components but dont want to spend too much money, trying to work out if the upgrade was worthy (changing the head/changer atm)
