are u sure it hasnt had a ign barrel out of another car? my mates FRS you can only turn it the 2/3 clicks(however many there is!), it wont go as far as non-button ford ign barrel will!
they dont torque steer as bad as what ppl make out, ive driven his in anger and to france and its fine...
a 182 'should' beat a std valver quite easy! yes a williams/hybrid might be a different story!
im lucky to own a 182 and valver and got a williams 3 locked away(or is that unlucky having clios lol) and the valver will match the 182 i think but then its not std at all lol, the 182 is std
the led may be lighting up on the keys but it dont mean its sending a signal out, you can check them very easy, use a camera phone and point the key at it and press, you should see the diode next to the blade flash when pressing, this cant be seen by eye! (not the red light btw)
the most...
my mate has some sort of scan gauge on his FRS and allows it to read pretty much most things, its always hooked up in his, its not some massive thing so can be fitted anywere, we tryed it in my 182 and it wont connect, i checked there site and they didnt do one for renos
tbh im not to fussed...
cool, have fun i went last year in a FRS, was fecking hot and i got a little burnt lol oh and very very drunk! plus england was playing and with 60odd thou brits was madness!
have a look under the seats mate, check if there is still a grey plug, the n/s plug has just 2 wires coming in/out of it, the o/s seat has more,
its normally these which cause the light to come on!
i would of bought a focus RS, my mate has one and its 270+bhp now drove it to france last year to! was brilliant lol
few reasons why i didnt egt one tho, 1 being the drive is to tight lol, i dont mind the 182 living on the front, didnt wanna leave a FRS sat there!
but im happy with the...
sorry to bring this up again, but i know what bri means, ive had my 182 for a month now, and having a williams aswell i know what he means about the feel of lack of torque,
but i think its decieving tbh, the 182 does pick up well but when you hit 5k it goes nuts, were as the williams as soon...
ive been running my 182 on normal unleaded fuel and tbh it runs fine, never have any problems, i did run it on v-power for abit but tbh didnt notice any difference, even mpg is still the same on mine with std unleaded! my 182 is totally std
admitantly the r19 and esc i didnt care about and totally abused them, but they did cost me less then £300 for both cars pmsl
the williams i have spent a fortune on and it was always fully serviced!, its just a jinxed car i think!
errrm lol,
my r19 1.4e cambelt snapped and bent 4 valves
my old esc turbo diesel cambelt snapped and bent 3 valves iirc, couldnt be arsed fixing it so sold it as!
on my williams i had a cam failure which fecked 2 valves up and cam pulley/bolt and obviously the cam!
all good fun...
i always prefered std set-up on my williams, i just ran custom made springs on that, i did have AVO coilovers but didnt like them, but i used the car alot on roads and didnt think it was right for that tbh
my 16v which i use for track does have AVO coilovers on and i couldnt fault it at...
i enjoyed driving our works 197, its totally different to the 182's etc
brakes are fantastic, the suspension/handling was very good, it def dont have the kick the 182 does but still goes well enough, it seemed much better built then my 182 too!
and if your concerned about mpg go buy a...
TDC sensors are common as muck for it mate, the latest ones have a blue connector and also a new plug and wiring which u have to cut/crimp on as they also have problems with the connection on the TDC sensor!
they work fine from cold but mainly play up when warm/hot untill its dead as a dodo!
that is what im on about, in order to re-initialize it you need the clip, and then disconnect the battery for 3mins etc, as i said its not reprogramming/remapping just a basic 'reset' if u like, nothinbg like remapping after modding the car etc lol
just disconnecting the battery on newer...
by plugging in the Clip, you can enter the petrol injection computor and re-initialize it (using a command, simular to erasing faults etc), the battery negative terminal is then disconnected for 3mins and then reconnected and then the vehicle is started up with no consumers on and left to idle...
i use to have a BTB 4-1 manifold for my oldsaxo VTR, combined with a decat amd catback system, certainly freed that up and sounded nice, i remember craggys old vts with full BTB system and manifold, very good quality exhausts and good gains normally(from saxo anyhow!)
is there any for the...
