To be fair all the mods were done before my ownership. I think I only changed the ph1 airbox, grams exhaust mount, lowered the seat and steering wheel and bonnet latch. That was is it. Oh apart from the fluid changes. Pitiful really.
Hope you enjoy it mate!
Not the best picture and the wheels are not clean but these are the black version which are a matt finish. Would have cleaned them but it literally started raining as I was taking this pic. Would have preferred them in a gloss finish as it would be easier to keep clean. 15's really improve the...
New steering wheel day, although I'm not 100 percent on it now and have a little buyers remorse. I've been watching the Sparco 323 from Demon Tweeks for a while and pulled the trigger on friday night after a few drinks. The Momo leather one on the car felt a little smaller, tho thinking about...
What are you doing to protect against water ingress from the caf? Reason I ask is that I have had similar setups in the past including open foam filter in that area and when driven in the rain the filter gets wet on one side, very concerning. when I had a Maxogen I ran a caf similar to yours...
The rubber boot might have slight cracks in it where the rubber has perished over the years. Mine had cracks in it and was similar but got progressively worse over time and started dripping onto the drive and therefore had to replaced the whole driveshaft. I would keep monitoring it, doesn't...
Those back boxes look tiny! I'd be packing that back up again and sending it back while you can still get a refund. Pay an extra 100 quid or so and get something half decent..
Surely it wouldn't have been too hard getting the end caps off and sticking the horseshoe in to see if timing was out. Cost of the end caps is under 20quid. Could have combined this with the service they were getting done at the same time.
Took the original cat off today, what a pain that was... Been on the car since day one so proper tricky with all the clips and bits as well as the rust, got to have seriously small hands to get in there. Having second thoughts about putting a 172 decat on now and thinking of going straight to a...
Finally get a day off work, starts out by having to hacksaw off the last bolt holding the ancient exhaust mount which started crumbling like cheese. This was after the other 2 came off fine after soaking them all overnight in wd40 and using the tightening up and loosening method and taking it...
Kool car, its like going back in a time warp! If I was wedged I would consider it to relive my youth. PE2's are probably past it, along with the other rubbers on the car. Also would the Sach's need a rebuild by now aready?
Your Trophy says Hi! Was down at Diamond motors having my cambelt etc done and this was taken by my transporter guy to confirm it had been delivered last Thursday. Picked my car up on Friday and had a nosey at yours but didn't know the back story, looked tidy.
