Clio's do not have vtec, or anything similar its due to the cam profiles. There is a cam shifter that changes the duration etc but hat switches on at around 1800 rpm. if its only higher up the rev range your having problems its something else. could be anything from a blocked cat to knackered...

can you not use some gasket paste or similar?

Tested it a few weeks ago and was 103 on drive by... Bedford is 87.5db I think... Its only 84 on static lol

Before the bodies I pinged the noise limits twice and was warned once more I'd be off. It's MUCH louder now, pity as Bedfords so close!

i honestly think you'd be better off with the standard air box and a panel filter. On my first 172 i had it rolling roaded before and after with a £300+ ITG Maxogen fitted and it lose 2 bhp and gained 4lb ft. i really would not expect those gains, especially when you look at the cost mate. £700...
