Adamlister - thats awesome mate!! Nice one ;-)
Lowering is definitely next ;-)
Any chance you could put the wheels back as they are just so i can see what itll look like?
Well you only live once ;-)
I often look at the pics of all my cars and always think im glad ive owned each one, they all have their good/bad points - the fact is in a few years we wont be able to do anything to cars, plus theyll all be running on low energy fuel etc.
Mate i went from an Evo 6 to a VR6 so i guess i got used to the step down lol.... this is just a cheap car for me in terms of running costs etc.
Its also the most boring car ive ever driven i have to admit :-(
Still - ive had enough fun cars, this one should at least keep me out of trouble!
Only thing that gave it away as being a Clio was the Mirrors for me!
I can see a lot of work and money has gone into that - each to their own i suppose.
Good luck with finishing it off, im sure it certainly gets the attention!
Yeah i can see how it happens, i was never into Dubs until i got my VR6 and saw just how good they can look
Its more about style and looks over Performance with a Dub, but the R32 is a lovely car - absolutely stunning!
The VW Centres are on order ;)
AJ - Sorry, didnt realise there was now an "other marques" section, hence putting the subject "Not a clio".
Sorry anyway mate!
Thanks for all the comments!
Tom i know exactly what you mean - this is by far the slowest car ive ever owned...... i went from a Pulsar GTI-R, M3 Evo, Evo 6 to a Golf VR6 (to save money) and then on to this as were now sharing the car.
It doesnt do anything for me driving wise, but its very solid, cheap and reliable plus...
Tom - i wont be getting coilovers either, im just going for an Apex suspension kit as its a safer option when it comes to insurance etc, plus the ride of coilovers did my head in on the last car i had with them!
As long as the arches sit right on the tyres itll look fine :-)
Unfortunately its...
Thanks guys - shell be at least 40mm lower so it should look pretty good!
Thats just the start though...... i have an endless list of things i want to do to it yet lol!
Just thought id put a few pics up as i got round to deciding on what colour to get my Audi RS6 rims painted in, well here they are all fitted
New plate too
Lowering is next on the list

The Rears arent wide enough! My mate has a Bright Yellow Polo G40, but his rims are like that (15") but 9" at the rear, 8" at the front - it looks awesome on the road - he even had all the bolts done in Gold to finish it off!
Tom (Fastwunz) You say 944 Turbo?? You mean 944 non turbo really dont you! ;)
I think they look Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuude on the Clio, really really suit it!!!! This is more the sort of thing you see on Veedubs etc but fair play to you mate, i think it works really well!!

Stereo Installs, Sat Nav systems, Speedo Conversions - YOU NAME IT!
Can only say good things about this guy and his company, always really helpful and full of good info!
Give them a shout if you need any help with any sort of...
That was Danny Fennel - he used to run DD Autosports that tuned my 5 Turbo - he lives near me, but hed spent £25k on that Pulsar - was over 400bhp so pretty awesome machine!
The Pulsar is a great fun car to drive, and still a lot of people dont know what they are on the road so will still try...
Well said Duncan,
As for BenR - Youve never owned one, and clearly never driven one so instead of reading up all you can on the net or in mags, go out in one have a drive, then maybe youre harsh and unfair opinion may be considered/valued.
As for repairs - its not a lot different then taking a Clio to a Renault garage, you want to use a specialist, which tends to cost money - luckily my Dad was happy to work on mine so it actually cost less to run in terms of maintenace then my Clio...... shudder at Cambelts, and Steering...
Are you serious? You think a Fwd car could keep up with a Cossie???
Theres no way - any 4wd rally car is going to be quicker round a track/twisty section surely!
I cant believe some of the things i just read - blatently from people who have never driven one!
0-60 is 5.4 standard, 220bhp, 4wd.
De-limited it will do 150 mph all day long
As for the comment about - throw it into a corner and youre in trouble, have you ever driven one? I dont think...
Youre not wrong - i felt so sick :-( Was tempted to find out where the buyer lived and go offer £2k just incase he/she didnt realise what theyd bought!
Me and a mate got a taxi into town last night, my mate is looking to get a 16v, so were talking about it - then the Female taxi driver butted in to tell us how her Daughter had a Clio Williams 1 from new, 46k miles on the clock, FRSH, and she just sold it for £1000...
Glen - Sorting this week for sure!
Danny - I didnt ;-) The guy in the van was only there a few mins lol!
Glad you like it anyway, its certainly turning heads at the moment!!!
Cheers Patty - ive had mainly good responses from other forums, which is always nice!
There will always be some people that arent too keen, as its so different but 95% so far love it ;)
