Front brakes squeak so loud I put my head down in embarrassment coming up to traffic... Had them off used some brake cleaner on the disc and cleaned the pads then greased them up nicely but still they continue. Here is a pic of the pad surface should new pads do the trick? There yellow stuff...

I never cleaned my plastic, but they did slowly just peel off so I just used clear Sellotape over the whole strip. They are NOT coming off anytime soon :)

The point of a fuse is to break incase the lights go wrong etc. if you put a higher fuse in it probs won't break in time for anything else to happen.

I bought my 182 like this and I'm unsure of what the colour is of them. There not bad but due to a refurb needed I'm thinking of getting them re powder coated to original anthracite, like the bluey tinge colour I believe is 205110? What do you think?

I'm saying this because RAM stores temporary files that if corrupted due to faulty ram, it will just happen again and again

Upgraded how? Did you just add another stick in? But still new RAM doesn't always work properly. I would honestly check it first.

But how old? I would check to see if your RAM is ok. Do you know how to do this? Search memtest86+ on Google and download it either 32 or 64bit version, put it on a disc and run it from turning on your laptop see how that goes mate.

How old is your laptop?

Don't forget the service pack install after all those updates then even more to follow :D Do you have any idea what is happening? Is this a retail PC/laptop? Without paying for anything I would leave system restore points enabled which it should, then create a new partition on your hard drive...
