I looked at these cages a while back when their was another thread going on and contacted the guy regarding his materials.
He doesn't use seamless tube which I was surprised about but he does seem to have a decent background in different forms of motorsport (hot rods) if you read his website...
There should be a fair few threads on this already, have a search I've read them before.
Its basically down to the tester's discretion, my tester is someone I've known and used for years and he has no issues with harnesses, no airbags, roll cage etc..
Got some bits off of symtechsales on eBay and the newly flocked items were nice quality the second hand flocked items not so much so ask if they are new and if so I'd recommend.
I was an IT permy for about 5 years, switched to contracting a year ago and would definately say give it a go.
It all depends where you end up, the contract I am currently in is 12 months and as chip said you earn more in one week that the average perm role pays per month doing the same thing...
I drilled new holes for the inside lap strap eye bolts to avoid using the same hole that the seat is bolted through,
Using spreader plates on the under side of the car, ill post some pics later if it helps,
I run this with straight through centre pipe with a decat and have never seen higher than 94db on track days.
It can be quite loud on motorways but there is a point about 80mph I sit at and it's very quiet. My car has no rear interior or carpets at all too.

I have removed the wheel and the rear speakers, and gauged my estimates from that.

Speakers (x 4) and stereo approx. 4-5kg
