Have you considered renting a garage? My mate at work has just rented one through an agent, £85pcm and it’s big enough to fit his 6 series in there plus a bit of storage behind it. I think that’s really good value.
An aftermarket cat will only last 2/3 years at most. There’s a reason they’re cheap.
Can you not take your OE cat to an exhaust place and get them to chop and weld it with a new flange?

I would suggest the Russian guy I use but he went back to Russia to renew his passport and they won’t let him leave - they say he has to stay and fight…. 🤦♂️
Car is away at Beaniesport. having a hydraulic clutch conversion.
So I bought a Mk2 dci pedal box from @Beauvais Motorsport - lovely man. These come with a hydraulic clutch as standard.
Chris has then chopped that and my original pedal box about and made art.
Very pleased.
Lots of issues. I’ve done 3 track days since it was fitted and when it’s working it’s biblical! But all of the adjustments I’m having to make (well, not me, I pay someone 😂) is getting silly now. Of those 3 track days it’s had to go back to the garage 3 times.
I’ve not even had it a year to do...
I have a gripper in my dedicated track car. Trailered to and from the track.
If I was to have my time again, I’d fit a Quaife. Cheaper, less aggro and you can fit and forget.
Cars for enthusiasts are finished.
We have cars for the masses (suv, electric guff and small engined crossovers) and we have cars for the show offs with money.
But cars for enthusiasts are no longer being produced so we’ll all be chasing old hot hatches for the rest of our lives.
Spotted this on Facebook, obviously;
Then I spotted this in Tewkesbury during the week. Had a real cool driveway with an old metro, an old rover and a land/Range Rover of some sort but I was going 40mph so…
Cool that’s still very much alive and kicking and being used regularly. Gives me hope;
What’s that JennyChem stuff like??
I see adverts all the time but I’m worried it will be too strong for the stuff I do. Is it not geared towards big haulage etc?
I removed my passat one with a Small craft knife. On eBay for about a quid.
Make sure you use a brand new one that’s sharp.
(Never done it on a clio but they’re all much of a muchness)
All of our events are open to some smaller clubs, TurboRenault and 197/200.net.
They tend to be quieter more civilised people than the ones that Grace these pages, but we all share the same perverted interest in fast Renaults. And they are all ABSOLUTELY sound.
See you in 2024! 💪🏽
The best engine bay cleaner I’ve ever used was Sonax Motor and cold cleaner. Absolutely superb stuff.
Make sure you cover up the plugs (they’re about as water tight as oxygen) and the alternator as they like to f**k up too.
Other than that, plenty of brushes, rags, and clean water. You’ll be...
Go to a better garage ffs.
Plugging it in and giving you “cylinder 2 misfire” is about as vague as it gets.
As Martin says, get it diagnosed properly by somebody that actually knows what they’re doing before you waste anymore time or money.
