I think it's a daft idea TBH. My 172 used to be our workhorse and regularly did around 20k per year, it would easily hit the mid 40s MPG on long runs. Now we have a Fabia vRS as a daily driver. Unless your comute consist of great bendy B roads, with no traffic then I would stick with your...

Depends how cheap you can get them matched for..I probably wouldn't bother though.

Some of the later 182 had RS stamped inlets these are slightly better, but not as good as a well matched set.

I think they are I have a set of angelworks matched inlets waiting to be fitted. ​Every little helps with the F4R.
