It’s a deadly time of year. I’ve got a few cars to shift and the last two I sold, were advertised for 4 weeks before I finally made them the cheapest ones within 100 miles of my house. And even then they only sold to people that needed a car rather than wanted one if that makes sense.
Those types of trailers are normally purchased by people with caterhams and westfields, not 2.0 clio’s.
there’s a guy in this thread that explains it well;
https://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/topic/23730-nose-weight/
I wouldn’t mind betting that the nose weight limit of that trailer is 80kg. With a 2.0 clio on it - and it will be all the way to the front on a Minno - you’ll be well over.
On a trailer that small I’d personally prefer not to have a tyre rack on at all. That’s a lot of added nose weight when you could just put the wheels in the back of your tow vehicle.
They have mapped about 4 or 5 cars owned by people I know. I have also used their wheel alignment service a couple of times. I also used to work with 2 of them. All properly good guys, your car will be in safe hands.
Mechanically this is well sorted, and it has no side doors which is very rare, but cosmetically it’s rough.
well, I say rough, it’s an 18 year old commercial vehicle. It’s probably quite tidy tbf. But it’s no show queen.
“450 pounds to machine polish my van?? That’s way too much money. My friend said he can do it for £80 on his dinner break. He works in a Bodyshop so does it for a living which means he’s a lot faster than you, it’s probably why he’s so cheap…”
It’s not a shoddy motor, it’s just a car with a fault. It’s not the first and it certainly won’t be the last.
Stop stressing.
Yes you need to keep it all via email. If he doesn’t play ball and you end up in court, you need a paper trail.
You are only entitled to a refund of the cars invoice...
Just email him explaining that you want to exercise your right to reject as he had an opportunity to fix it and failed.
He can’t argue with you, he can’t charge you any fee’s, he has to refund you in full. It’s very easy to do.
I just found some more pics of mine and Mr Bone’s car.
Also, a very hot and exhausted Son, who wasn’t even driving but still managed to get so hot in the car that he felt sick. 😂
And a quick video, just because…
Oh and please excuse the wheels, they came with a set of tyres I bought so once the tyres are done it will be back on the gold speed lines.
CV grease sir??
Probably the last track day of the year and after doing 10+ days last year, it’s really evident that I’m a lot poorer this year than I was last. As I’ve only managed 2! 😂
The car has had a load of work done though; gripper, box refresh, 6 x new tyres, pads, brake fluid, engine and gearbox oil...
