Well played mate. I bought my 182 brand new/pre reg'd @ 20 (was handed a substantial inheritance cheque), was a nice feeling as I only had my 1.2 dynamique for 18 months before the 182, had a few 'moments' in it tho lol.
Miss this bus, i was a student at the time so I has 3-4 days a wk to keep...

Regards the warranty claim - 'you calling me a liar' - Apple would rather appease the customer than it go any further, they take customer service VERY serious.
Most stores have them mate, just ring round and make sure, book an appointment.
There's loads of cause for warranty replacement, but yeah call dropping, poor speaker quality.
Wear and tear, pocket marks etc.. Blatant mistreatment I can understand. If you go in and say its dropping calls or randomly vibrating or the likes, new phone.. It's a 500+ device, they barely question it, if the 'genius' is a jobs-worth stand your ground and say its unacceptable.
False economy IMO - I had a 52 plate 172 as a run around.. After owning a brand new 182 in 05 then a brand new R27 in 07 would only have another second hand Clio as a track car, NEVER as a daily driver.
