I'd be lying if I said yes mate, I'm not too sure, but after spending in excess of 900£ earlier this year rebuilding an F4R I wouldn't take any chances.. Sadly the 172 had to go tho.
Correct, happened to my 172 last year.. After a full rebuild it still ran like a 3 legged dog.. Tho on the look out for a tidy 172 cup for a weekend toy..
I had a brand new 182 when I was 20, granted that was 7 years ago, I paid 1100£ with 2 years NCB when I was a student.. Prices have increased drastically since tho.
