Re: AAAAhhhhhhhh f**k! I did something similar, popped the grommet in to the car from the engine bay, cut into the side of the grommet to make a slit, slid the cable into the slit and then popped the grommet back in. Still perfectly waterproof and my hands still exist.

Yeh, don't take it back if it looks like that. Something is wrong there. It could be the photos but there could be some very uneven trim margins around those areas.

well it is a soft platic compound but wrap has a fair amount of flex in it so i don't see why not.
